kirti chakra Pandillapalli Srinivas IFS was opened a mobile dispensary in Gopinatham village for the people and even learnt basic medicine to assist in the dispensary. He took up an ambitious tribal housing programme where he built 40 houses for the homeless people of Gopinatham village. He used his own salary and borrowed from friends and relatives to finance many of these humanitarian activities. He was an outstanding forest officer committed to his job and the people he served. He raised forest nurseries successfully in the deep forest by impounding available hill top water. He conducted afforestation drives, improved communication (high frequency wireless) networks and set up high altitude watchtowers. He understood that forest development and tribal development are intrinsically related. He organized co-operatives to sell the minor forest produce collected by the villagers. He provided livelihood to the villagers by employing them in forest nurseries and other developmental works to discourage them from destroying forest wealth and wildlife. Eligible people were identified and appointed as watchers and guards in the forest department. Gang members were also encouraged to avail of these employment opportunities. The people of Gopinatham slowly began to realize that there was more to life then poaching and smuggling and that it was possible for them to live with dignity. Long live true Gandhian Kirti Chakra Pandillapalli Srinivas IFS.🙏🙏 As a result of Srinivas's efforts, the public support base on which Veerappan thrived was eroded. Srinivas offered the gang members a rehabilitation package including legal justice if they would lay down their arms and cross over. A major breakthrough was achieved in 1990 when many of the hardcore gang members surrendered before Srinivas. Veerappan's gang dwindled from over 40 men to a mere 8-10 members. Among those who surrendered was Arjuna, the younger brother of Veerappan. When they were jailed Srinivas personally engaged advocated on their behalf and got them released on bail. These men stayed with him at Gopinatham. He paid particular attention to Arjuna, who he believed would lead him to Veerappan, and that together they could persuade the brigand to surrender. In July 1991 Srinivas's tenure with the STF expired. He stopped getting his salary and the security provided for him was weakened but he stayed on as he felt that Veerappan's surrender was imminent. The gang members would disappear periodically into the jungles and Srinivas was warned not to trust them entirely but he did not pay much attention. His faith in people was Central to his work. His belief in sayanveshan was absolute. This was reflected in the manner in which he chose rehabilitation over reproach. Veerappan's own family members were beneficiaries of Srinivas 's generosity. He employed Veerappan's sistere Maari in the dispensary and tried his best to counsel veerappan's younger brother Arjun to abandon his outlaw existence. Kirti chakra Pandillapalli Srinivas death is a testimony to his comment to the innate goodness of man. Srinivas was posthumously awarded the second highest peace time gallantry award the "Kirti chakra". Srinivas wrote the last letter stating that "we are hoping for the best. God will help us".

Thanks for the early reply. Research, Scheme and Plan of Developmental Action by kirti Chakra Pandillapalli Srinivas. Kirti Chakra Pandillapalli Srinivas IFS., prepared an inventory of these smugglers and their varied activities in plundering the forest wealth along with their photographs and other details. Charts were also used to explain their positions and strengths. The whole compendium, the result of dedicated investigation of this young officer was strategically useful for all the subordinate staff who were fighting to protect the forest's wealth. Several roads in key locations laid and watchtowers at strategic points were erected under his plan and supervision. He equipped his teams with the wireless sets for effective communication. On the other hand he could develop additional water resources within the thick forests to increase the forest produce. Such water sources also became the sources of drinking water for many water- starved villages in the remote corners. The Divisional Development plan drawn by him became a fundamental base for his brain child "Forest Complex" built in Chikmagalur in sprawling 40 to 50 acres of land, which is now a prime and proud place of development. Srinivas is instrumental in raising a divine place Chintamani Maha Sarswati Devi temple amidst that Forest Com- plex. While winning the hearts of the sons of soil, Srinivas administered his teams like family head with great concern for human needs but always saw to it that the looters, poachers and smugglers, who were caught in big number, fear the authorities. His main concern was to reach the dreaded smuggler king, Veerappan. However, he had never let down the pressure on forest brigand, and went on encircling his estate by taking over his junior deputies in peripheral areas, confiscating valuable forest produce worth hundreds of crores of rupees from different places.

What the cave divers did was outstanding. But looking at many video commentaries and reports it was the Navy Seals that didn’t stop trying to rescue the children. When the divers decided to quit it was the Navy Seals that kept going. A cave diver named Ben saw the Navy Seals going ahead with the rescue after he thought the mission was ended. The Navy Seal told him that these children were our children. They were going ahead with the rescue even though they weren't experts. After Ben, an expert cave divers, saw them proceeding he chose to join them. This point of the rescue project was pivotal to the whole rescue. It was the love the Thailand people had for the children and the expertise of the cave divers combined that brought about a Mission Possible.

Good review. Nan pakal is a movie for those who wish to struggle to reach and grab the subject and inner depth of the movie. There is no spoon feeding in the subject from the director or camera director. But he shoot infront of the camera which is not moving the camera which is very common in most of the movis. Best movie to watch.

Well the first lie is that its based on a true story, it isn't the only factual events are The Kingdom of Dahomey did certainly exist, its now called Benin, King Ghezo also existed, so did a woman Battalion, but the story line that they fought against slavery total fiction the Dahomey practiced slavery for hundreds of years before any Europeans arrived in Africa, and continued long after Europeans abolished it. Plus the woman warriors hunted for slaves and kept and traded slaves. Dahomey was built on and became powerful because of slavery. But as a non Historical movie ignoring some of the fictional dialog, it was well done the fight scenes great the acting great, it should have been a fictional African and just focused on drama and the action, leaving out the Political B.L.M. Hype, then it would have been a great movie. Slavery was evil by all that practiced it, victims of slavery both black Africans and White Europeans. My wife's Great great great Grandmother was taken as a white slave in 1845 from the Cornish coast, as a concubine sex slave for seven years, from the age of 18 till 25 when she was sold to the Vatican, who took her to Rome then sent home to England utterly a broken Woman, some five months later she took her own life.

Your review is good, but I disagree with them. I feel you did not understand the intent behind. 1. Love story and landlord son section. - it's purely there for the sequel 2. Vision hunting Shiva: everytime he does something bad against their traditions, his father trying to convey that. 3. His friends role and contribution: they are essence of the movie. I believe you never lived in village that's why difficult to connect. From the start till the end they carry the story along. 4. Shiva advance cringe: they are tribals and raw. Have you spent even a day in such places. It's far more than that.

Grown up son was killing wild boars- that represented the guardian spirit of the village. He is breaking laws of the government and the tribe alike. Grown up son was wasting his life, ignoring his family responsibility and worked as a goon for the landlord. Nothing wrong with his mother trying to get him on right track. Lanlord's son? Maybe his karma hit his son- landlord was instilling his greed in him- crippling his moral values. I am not sure why you assumed the kid must play some role, just because he existed.

I agree with all in this review except for his view of Amp. I thought her comments were endearing and added a well-rounded view of lead diver, Rick Stanton's character. I agree with Amp: it was uncanny that she lives in and knows Chiang Rai, that she is a nurse, that she met Rick Stanton just two weeks prior to this event, and that Rick had told her he hoped to meet her again. It speaks volumes!

In ancient period there was jamin dhar system so people must obey to land lords, what ever it, and beatings, scolding, are the symbols of love towards the future of children, their own or others , the ultimate reason is rectifying the people , in their early childhood, and it's a kind of education, Home lesson, Home work, before they transactions with other people of world, the movie also reveals the kind of people, kind of love, and nobody is up or down in front of dhaiva,or god,or culture, tradition, dhaivaradhan , society organisations or mathrubhoomi or rituals,

All the haunting events are the results of Shiva doing immoral activities, hence I cant say that it is drawback. Not sure mentally challenged son of Jamindar might be explored in part 2(if they plan). Only draw back i found was the language even being a kannadiga many dialogues went above my head (maybe that is the reason movie is getting repetitive audience, will be going to watch it for the third time very soon)

I was genuinely surprised that woke hollywood made this movie🤔🤔 Many of us in Africa, especially us Nigerians, know of how Dahomey was a slaver kingdom that only stopped slavery because, ironically, the Europeans conquered them and forced them to stop slavery. Who thought this movie was a good idea?!

The soccer team's story is exclusively held by Netflix. Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarhelyi stressed that fact. Actually the battle and complain about the usage of the soccer team's story goes back to 2018. ThaiPBS along with other local Thai publications complained that the story only went to the highest bidder, the locals can't even got a hold on the boys for an interview. The boys went to Ellen, Good Morning Britain, Exclusive ABC News interview etc. But not local media

@@soberguyreviews chapter 27 : ‘The interview caused an uproar among local and foreign media which felt the Thai government granted special privilege to the American TV while discouraging others from talking to the thirteen Tham Luang survivors,’ wrote the state broadcaster Thai PBS a few days later. Werachon put the whole thing down to a ‘communication misunderstanding’. ‘He also dismissed a suggestion that ABC [American Broadcasting Company] News had paid for the right to interview the boys and their coach,’ stated the Thai PBS article.
