I love my Rangers and Igor has been playing on a whole different level than everyone else. However, their defense stinks and their top scorers are dry. There needs to be a shake-up in the off-season. Dump Zibanejad (never does well in the playoffs), Kakko, Wheeler, Trouba and Gustaffson to start out.

Lindholm appear to want more than what the Canucks were offering. He’ll probably go to Boston for $7+mil times 8yrs. Zadorov appears to want $6mil times 6yrs, and that’s very risky. He might end up like an Erik Gudbranson. Lol I don’t mind if we don’t re-sign these players, at least we have a ton of cap space to spend on other players.

The Dallas Stars found their game in the second period, found the switch plus I believe they got some line changes that they couldn’t get in the first period. Edmonton had the puck for a long time at the start of the game.

The Embellishment call was fucking TERRIBLE. Marchment could be considered a defenseless player in that situation. The cross check was away from the play, and Mason had no idea that he needed to brace himself for a hit, since there should not have been one in the first place. 99 out of 100 people would buckle and fall down if that happened to them. Absolutely disgusting call.

Not about one person but the team … the team changed their play and it threw you off 😂. Perfect

I think we need embelshment calls, but I think they should only be used when its obvious. If there are questions about the call, it shouldn't have been called.
@kolebowyer38376 күн бұрын
And they should eliminate the opposing call, tbh. IDC what the call was, unless it's a major penalty.

You mentioned the biggest question in my mind. Can Skinner keep it up? We know he can sustain a .900-.905 but he's played well above that in the last two games. It seems unsustainable.

All this Dallas Stars love is making me nervous. I think Dallas will win, but all it takes is a bad game from Ott, a good game from Skinner, or a couple bad penalties by Dallas for this thing to go sideways. The Oilers are good enough that the margin for error is slim.

The Avs identity is quickness and speed and offensive defensemen. I feel like they stopped playing to those identities because they weren't making fast decisions. And I feel like they weren't confident enough to make fast decisions because Dallas successfully frustrated them and made them lose confidence. It is in those moments they especially miss Landy. What makes Landy a superstar captain is that he can see his team losing confidence and momentum and then decide to become a bully and go out there with a shift that goes for broke. Just do something that wakes up the team. MacKinnon can have those moments, but his defensive skills will never be at Landy's level, so MacKinnon can try to go into beast mode but then still get hemmed into his own zone and just look frustrated and on island. And MacKinnon just wears his frustration very differently. Landy on the other hand can go into a mode that is "ok, you will not cycle the puck on me anymore. I'm going to take it and give it to one of my skilled teammates." and squash the other teams momentum without having to score a goal.

Blues fan here - there's a misunderstanding here of who Berube is, and what kind of coaching he does. Yes, he demands positional and character responsibility from his players - accountability - but a Nylander is not going to have problems. Berube is not a defense-forst coach or anything. Feels like Toronto media is treating this hire like hes a Jacques LeMaire or something. He loves his offense to be creative, and his defense to jump up and contribute offensively. What he doesn't particularly like are low effort players, or puck hogs. But he won a Cup with a happy Tarasenko. Hes not lost on the attack at all.

Hard to pay over 10 million for those players when they are not worth it. Coach don’t matter when you can’t produce in the playoffs. Enjoy losing again. By the time the Leafs figure it out Montreal and Ottawa will be done their rebuilds and knocking them out. Reminds me of Oakland Raiders, hey Leaf fans I hear Arizona is looking for a team in a few years 😮😂

Coaching isn’t the canes problem. The rangers are. They enormous depth. And are savage opportunists
@Mr.Eeeeeeeee16 күн бұрын
It is true. Rangers top players are better and they capitalize on opportunities. Also Canes go balls out for 45 minutes and see to run out of gas. Outside of game 5, Rangers always looked stronger near the end.
@Mr.Eeeeeeeee16 күн бұрын
Appreciate the analysis. I disagree the Canes sat back. They ran out of gas and went up against superior goaltending. They also did not capitalize on their chances. Every game other than 5, Canes played much better in 1st and 2nd with relentless pursuit. I rewatched the 3rd and Rangers dominated the last 10 minutes with far more energy. Kreider’s last goal was set up by freaking Ryan Lindgren who is slow and flat out beat his defender around the net like he was Pavel Bure. Kreider was also wide open when the Canes were shut down defense all game. Canes style does not work well against elite goalies. They got Guentzel and Kuz but they were not enough.

I'm a Stars fan. The suspension for Soucy is ridiculous. He would never have cross checked McJesus in the face if Zadorov hadn't just cross checked him in the back. Why is everyone even in sports media lying as to what actually happened? #fakenews
