Several companies use the same driver in $400 and $5,000 headphones. My final audios were like that. I have a set of AKG on the way.

A fairer comparison would be to compare the audezes with a $300 planar, a planar will always sound very different to a dynamic headphone

I come from the opposite end of the spectrum. I’m an end user, an ‘audiophile’. Speakers are my much preferred listening platform. 10ish years ago, when I moved into an apartment, I started to dip into the realm of headphones. My first purchase was a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort. They were very impressive, initially. Within 2 weeks I’d purchased a pair of Oppo headphones. They blew the Boze out of the water. So, under the Bose 30 day money back guarantee, I returned the Bose for a full refund. A couple of months later, I was perusing my local hi-fi dealer. They had a pair of AKG K550 headphones reduced to 99.99 1 quarter of the price of the Oppo. I bought them on a wim. They blew the Oppo away and became my ‘go to’ headphones. Over the years, I’ve slowly vut surely upgraded my main hi-fi rig, to the point that poorly mastered recordings sound, poor. I think I’ve just about reached the ‘glass ceiling’ with my hi-fi rig. I’d have to spend a fortune, to achieve subtle improvements. So I decided to upgrade my headphones. I was looking for a set with reference quality audio reproduction. Details, transparent. Balanced acoustic density, neutral and linear. This was going to be a considered purchase. So I took my time, researched the market. I wanted something that I could enjoy listening to, but also use to use as a reference against my Hi-fi rig. What hat I ended up with is the AKG K872 headphones. 11 times the price of the K550. Designed as “pro master, reference mixing” headphones, but, they meet the criteria and qualities I was speaking. Are they 11 times better than the K550 headphones? Absolutely not. Are they worth to me, the money I invested in them? Absolutely!

This I think was helpful. I opened Kontakt player up and was able to get sounds out of it. It had one free library, the Jacob collier choir. But when I chose different presets in the pull-down menu I got the same sounds. Next I went into Cubase to see if I can load it and we’ll, who knows it’s not anywhere I can find. It’s not in plugins, it’s not in miss instruments so I’m not sure how to record anything of it in my DAW.
@TheGreatConstantini3 ай бұрын
I think my version of Cubase may not work with kontakt 7, just guessing. Which gets into a long diatribe about why I am using an older version of Cubase and an older OS. I’m not going to go there here unless someone wants to hear my complaints, but suffice it to say the ever ongoing push to upgrade everything has limited my creative choices. Let’s just say, if I upgrade everything I would need to spend thousands of dollars and yet my favorite programs and plugins would no longer work. It’s sort of like Microsoft saying to a painter, blue azure is no longer compatible therefore you can not paint with blue azure you need the use morning sky blue instead. So, hmm yes kontakt is probably not compatible with older Cubase, perhaps I’ll try it in acid pro 10.

Thank you so much for the video. I did receive two Seaboard blocks M yesterday. But I had to scratch my head to understand how to get started. Now with your video. It makes sense. There is not much instruction with the product. The dashboard does not work with them. So I am using Roli Connect and Studio. Also I bought Equator. I am using Windows 10. The dashboard seems to have a driver problem. I couldn't fix it.

The reason it exceeded 0db for the GHz limiter is that Faraday Limiter has a max ratio of 20:1, it is not a brickwall limiter.

i dont understand, I connect my piano to kontakt and load up the sample but the sound of the piano stays the same. It looks to me that it only changes in the software not when I play. Does kontakt not change the sound of the piano rather it changes the sound of the recording? My piano has shit sound so It to sound different when I play . Does kontakt not do that?
@producewithjt Жыл бұрын
In that scenario, the piano acts as a MIDI controller, meaning that it sends musical note information to the computer. The sound, then, comes out of the computer, not the piano. Does that help?
@neilgamer12341 Жыл бұрын
@@producewithjt so what I understood from this is If I wanted to make my cheap piano sound good, It would only sound good in the computer? I wouldn't be able to change the sound so I can hear it while I'm playing?
@producewithjt Жыл бұрын
@@neilgamer12341 Yes you would be able to change the sound, play the piano, and hear the sound, but that sound would come out of the computer, not the piano. The piano send the note information to the computer, and then Kontakt, inside of the computer, plays back those notes using the instrument that's loaded in Kontakt.

Great video! Hey guys! HOW DO I REMOVE THE DEFAULT PAN IN KONTAKT? I have found it difficult to find information on this. Essentially, for example, if a key is played on the left, the instrument will sound louder on the left side of the headphones. The same goes for keys played on the right side, which makes the sound on the right headphone louder. How can I remove this effect so that is sounds centered and not based on key position? Thank you!
@producewithjt Жыл бұрын
I don’t think this applies to many Kontakt instruments.. but you could for example make that track mono with utilities inside your DAW

New to producing. Was wondering if this kit, is compatible with MPC beats DAW? And the orchestra hit, in the begining and end song, does it come with the kit, as a sample or stem?

I know this is not a new vid, but it should be a standard people use to learn the technical aspects of a decent EDM song structure! So very well explained and it makes sense! Not just a bunch of chords laid down and a beat, but a well thought out execution of tension, buildup and release properly explained including the instruments used and production tools used! Well done!

@@oinkooink I was doing both (slamming and demonstrating how much you get away with each plugin without doing more progressive compression on the master).
