I’m using a soft cotton yarn - 10ply and 3mm hook. I’m having a hard time with the measurements for XS since im using a different yarn and hook size.

Is the number of loops may change depending on what yarn im using? Im yung a soft cotton yarn, my loops are more than 56 and it’s just 24 inches.

Do I need to stretch my strand to get the required measurements.
