Glad you are safe from the fires!! Love your glorious beautiful stitching and finishes! I put Shepherd’s Song on my Wish List. ♥️🌹 Hannah over at LadyBugStitches uses little binder clips on the round hoops to hold her fabric and hoop taught. Just a thought. Lots of awesome stitchy kindness. A lot of people love you, Bernadette! Me, too. Spring Fling 💝🐰

I'm in awe of how organized you have your year. I tried to be organized once ... 😆 It didn't work as well as I hoped. So this year I'm taking it as it comes. I did decide to try spinning the wheel, so I don't get quite so hyper-focused on just one piece.
@BernStitches9 күн бұрын
I get a bit flustered if I am not at least somewhat organized. Taking it as it comes is also a good idea, less overwhelming for sure!
@BoilaSmaranda27 күн бұрын
thank you for the ideas. I always use the first one but unaware of the others. I do goblen not cross stich but some of the methods are similar. Thanks again.

I'm following my same plan for WIPGO that I used last year. I've got 3 boards: 1 for my WIPs, 1 for FFO'ing since I have a huge number of ornaments that need to be finished and 1 for ornaments. I have a bunch of ornament cuts that I purchased back in the early 2000's for specific ornaments in the JCS ornament issues. I have 8 or 10 of those left. I also purchased kits for a series of 12 days of Christmas ornaments from Celebration of Needlework in 2023 - each is by a different designer so it will be fun. I've finished out that board with a couple of kits for Satsuma Street ornaments. My goal is to hopefully finish the ornaments that I start each month, but as long as I make good progress on them, I'll be happy. 🪡👠

What a great way to store your flosses! I have mine in those clear acrylic cases from Fat Quarter Shop, alphabetized. My DMCs are on bobbins. I did this way back in the late ‘70’s when I started to cross stitch. Happy stitching.

Bernadette, recently found your channel from listening to Jessica, The Sweetwater Stitcher and I love it. Your projects are beautiful and you are so organized. I am planning to concentrate on Plum Street Samplers in 2025, just like you and Jessica. I’m working on “Comfort and Joy” and when that is finished I’ll start “Winter Moon”. Started following you on Instagram as well so I can see all your great projects!

What a fun parade of FFO's and WIPs.. thanks for the reminder that I need to pull out Flag Flock; we have 2 australian shepherds and a border collie, so the small is perfect for our house. (And yes, I totally understand hair floating around...!) 🪡👠

Hi, Bernadette! You are so organized and confident! I am going to order some of the patterns you showed us. I know how it feels not to have your sewing machine at hand. We have our Christmas tree on top of an old dining table, that’s now our crafting table. You do a diversity of cross stitch. I love all your beautiful work♥️🌹 P.s. Love your pretty green sweater. You look very pretty in it.

I had 2 Boards in the past, one was of WIPS, the other was for New Starts, it got overwhelming. This year I have 3 WIPs on my one board scheduled 3 times, the others as single entries, and they consist of New Starts & WIPS. I like your NEWGO board idea. I also pull 4-5 project bags out per month, work on them M-F and my weekends are free for whatever. Happy Stitching!

Really enjoyed your FFO's and WIPS!! Also thank you for sharing the tips that have helped with your stitching. As a 45 year stitcher, I have found that I am gravitating towards stands, especially a good lap stand! Appreciate that you shared that you like yours! Your stitching on higher count fabrics is lovely!

Happy New Year 🎉..I had a question..I noticed you keep your work in their hoops/qsnaps, I was told through other channels to take the cloth out of hoop when not stitching..I would like to know your secret or explanation as to how you are able to keep yours in the hoop without having deep creasing or hoop marks by the end of the stitch. I waste a lot of time re hooping and unhooping my projects. I have loosened my hoop or qsnap but I still have to reset the fabric and tightened everything again. Anyway, a fabulous WIP parade. Beautiful stitching. Take Care..Happy Stitching 🙋♀️😁
@BernStitchesАй бұрын
No secrets! I honestly leave my hoops on and never look back. I may just be lucky that mine doesn’t leave a lot of deep creasing. When I’m done with stitching the project for a few months, I do move out of the hoop and roll it so that might help with getting the creases out. I hate moving hoops so I only do it when I’m not working on a project for a while
