The Charlie Brown seems a little more flexible, but the Plexi Drive does only one thing REALLY well.

If you still have this guitar, please consider posting an updated video. It's been 3 years now. Thank you, great job.

This is one of the best first stage gains I have ever owned and based on KZbin videos I've owned some of the most highly regarded over drives.
@kendricklyon96332 ай бұрын
You are picking the solo correctly. Each note has to be plucked individually. BTW, mark’s picking is uneven on the record. It still sounds good, but it’s uneven. Make sure you’re picking the 8th notes for each measure.
@ayman52072 ай бұрын
Already sounding good brother! Just slowly increase the bpm on a metronome. You can try plucking the high E string with your middle finger, or even using a hammer-on with your pinky for that note. Good luck!
@interficio25482 ай бұрын
I think it will be a lot easier if you substitute the thumb pluck of the upper e string with a middle finger pluck. You'll be able to play on horrendous speeds with this technique. So i - pull-off - p - m.
@Andre-kb2vj2 ай бұрын
The note on the 13th fret is played with a tap! It's a bit easier than you are making it. No need to pick that

Here is the answer: NO pedals. I was plugged directly into my Marshall Studio Classic JCM 800 on the 5 watts setting.

nice vid~ im thinking about getting this wah, however its hardwired, did u notice any tone suck white its in the pedal chain?
@robm58614 ай бұрын
I put it at the beginning of the signal chain before the drives. Ie guitar plugged into wah. There is no signal drain. It’s really great. Thanks for watching.

I have a Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies & a Ibanez tube screamer! Also a line 6 spider 50 amp which has it's own awesome overdrive or fuzz, distortion sounds included!
@shawnalexander55254 ай бұрын
Band of Gypsies is of course a fuzz pedal.
@prevalentape04 ай бұрын
Of course it's loud, easily over 95 dBs, it's 20 Watts!
@TropicalLatitude4 ай бұрын
You need the deluxe reverb tone master that sounds pretty much the same but has the attenuator for quiet cranked performance in the basement. The tube reverb is the most revered clean amp. Mine is clean until about 6.

Nope. Wasn’t. Tube screamer. Anyone else?

He was using that question for the title of the video just to spark comment interaction, it'd be funny though if he was that comfortable playing and didn't know his pedals 😂

Hi everyone. First an LP then Strat. Guess the overdrive. 808? Klon clone? Boss? Bluesbreaker? Plexi? Or just the amp (Marshall studio classic).
@DeathBeak7 ай бұрын
Great demo. Actual clean amp so you can hear the pedals themselves. The MG has to really be tweaked / dialed in a lot to get close to the og BB sound. BB sounds good and doesn’t even have to try.

This is a great video, thank you. I had toyed with the idea of a Bluesbreaker but was looking at a TC MojoMojo, which is less that $100 Cdn. and sounds great. But (BUT!) I will likely get the Morning Glory, simply because it is my preference in all the videos I've seen. Yes, more expensive ($250 Cdn) but might as well get it 'right' the first time and have no regrets. Also, for another $50 there is a mini JHS red stomp box that connects to the Morning Glory and gives the option of switching between the two drive options rather than bending over and flicking the toggle switch.

Very similar tone. But if you have no space on your pedalboard, you also can take the Mooer Blues Crab for a much better price. Otherwise I would prefer the Original.
@dominiceakins2039 Жыл бұрын
I have the Blues Crab and it’s a decent bit of kit, you’re definitely right if you don’t want to spend a lot on a pedal, for £60 the blues crabs worth every penny

The high pitch noise wth the Morning Glory only happens if the effects loop is active. If I turn off the FX loop the noise disappears. This doesn’t happen with my other overdrive pedals. Thoughts? Ps I like to use my effects loop - reverb and delay.

Can totally relate to your little rant about the dipswitches located inside pedals. I got a couple of pedals where I never bothered to try different dipswitch settings because I am just too lazy to unscrew the whole thing. Loved the sound of the strat with the pedal, might have to get one myself.

Thanks for sharing this. I have never heard this pedal. Some amps have a bright channel, which l think would be similar to that high cut switch?
@robm5861 Жыл бұрын
This pedal is very well known in North America. The high cut removes some treble in case you have a bright amp or guitar.

@robm5861 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It is subjective. I have tried it in the effects loop and it was too pronounced and dominant to my ears. I would be interested in what others think - where to put the phase 90 in the signal chain.
@McLOVIN..... Жыл бұрын
