You talk about a new program in New Jersey that's called the New Jersey veterans diversion program which was actually started in 2017 or actually signed into law in 2017. Since then I have actual information from the New Jersey state on what counties have admitted and not admitted veterans into the New Jersey veterans diversion program and the rates are astonishing. If we talk about the total amount of veterans that have applied to the program and have been denied the program the rate is anywhere from 98 to 99% denial rate. There is only one County that uses the program and actually admits veterans into the program which is a state law May I remind you and I'll say again a state law by New Jersey. This is in Southern New Jersey Ocean County Atlantic County I forget the actual county but in Southern New Jersey I have the actual document forwarded to me through email by the state. Now let's first off talk about one County which is Union County which has never admitted a single veteran into the program and actually has stated that they do not have such a program but it is a state law. The one female at the time who was the prosecutor in Union County has also denied 100% of applications and has stated that there is no such program for the county but it is a state law. Do you know where she is right now? I will tell you she is now working for the New Jersey attorney general's office which means that she was promoted which can we also say was she promoted because she denied 100% of the applications. Let's also talk about Sussex County New Jersey where like many counties in New Jersey they deny veterans into the New Jersey veteran diversion program because they do not live in the county but that is not part of the law. Then lets also talk about how PTI free trial intervention allows New Jersey residents or people to be admitted into the New Jersey PTI program even though that they live outside the state within reasons. I have an article where a woman was from Philadelphia PA she entered into New Jersey she had a pistol and was arrested but then accepted into the PTI program. PTI in New Jersey also does not allow drugs or abuse violence just like the New Jersey veterans diversion program. But I also have an article saved where man in Union County was dispensing drugs in Union County on school property but he was admitted into the New Jersey PTI program. I have plenty of information I even have information of New Jersey veteran forms affair can hagerman whose wife was one of the ones chosen to perhaps be a running mate for Jack Ciattereli for governor against Phil Murphy. Ken hageman was place and was working at a VFW outside lakeside New Jersey. A Jewish veteran for the United States military had multiple issues such as PTSD and anxiety. This Jewish man had an anxiety attack and pulled over into the VFW parking lot and called the vfw. To happen to answer Ken hagerman who was a retired Union County New Jersey police officer. Ken hageman then called The local police department and told them that this veteran had drugs on him which was confirmed to be false So hagman filed a false report but was never charged why. I have so many facts and I have so many reports on this and it is saved digitally. First off let's ask the fact of why 98 to 99% of veterans are denied into the program and then let's ask why prosecutors are making up their own rules. With PTI in New Jersey you have to have four people overlooking the program which consists of the prosecutor the probation officer the judge and I forget the fourth person but there's four people that need to accept or deny. As far as in New Jersey veterans program there was only one person that can accept or deny no one can overrule them That is the prosecutor which is US Constitution states that not one sole person can be above any citizen in the US That is why the New Jersey PTI program has four people to accept or deny but the New Jersey veterans diversion program does not and it allows one single person to accept or deny. The way I see it is in this is the truth and you cannot deny me Is that lawyers in New Jersey in a many states are like brothers in blue. No one is willing to fight this because they would have to throw someone else under the bus which every lawyer and many lawyers are fighting to become the next prosecutor or someone within the government. I can go on and on and on with plenty of facts but I believe this is enough at this point.

I wanted to get through all of this podcast but I wondered if the guest read Judge Lise Pearlman's book about the Lindbergh case or any of the books/research questioning the conviction of Hauptmann? I realize that Mr. Zorn is most concerned about honoring his late father's wishes to get a side of the story out, but I listened to NJ Criminal's 2 part interview with Judge Pearlman before I listened to this interview. I couldn't make it to the end of this interview with Robert Zorn, knowing what I heard about Pearlman's research and book. I also found this interview very difficult to listen to because Zorn is not a good guest. The story that Zorn presents and details are so compelling but he wants to tell it the way he wants, and not engage with or allow the interviewer to ask questions. The interviewer was extremely patient but had to work hard to be involved. Perhaps rather than doing an interview with him, I would have had him record answers to questions separately and then record commentary as a voice over, afterwards. Nonetheless, it is worth considering this story as one re-examines history, the legacy of the Lindbergh case on culture, journalism and law, and the US legal system.

Pearlman is nuts. She'll have you convinced, if you're not well informed about the Lindbergh family. Her work here is misleading and irresponsible.
@tboyd5150
@tboyd5150 5 ай бұрын
I wouldn't call her nuts. She makes some very compelling points and is certainly well versed on the topic. But, she still has no sound explanation as to why a Hauptmann had so much of the ransom money in his house HIDDEN IN THE WALLS and why he did not confess before his execution, leaving his family with no money at all. These two points prevent me from completely exonerating Hauptmann.

One problem. In everything I have heard and read about Hauptmann, it is always claimed that he never went by his first name Bruno. Supposedly Mrs. Hauptmann did not even know that was his real first name until the police and prosecutors starting using it because it sounded more foreign than Richard. Why would these supposed fellow gang members use Bruno when he never used the name himself?

Good video! Its crazy how this case was handled. I wonder how much was just the way things were done back in the day vs attempts to shield CL Sr. It's unbelievable he was about to head an investigation where he should have been a suspect. Definitely doesn't pass the smell test. I wish you luck in exonerating his name.

Kudos to Judge Perlman! Her book was meticulously researched and the judge brilliantly connected the dots seamlessly with expert prose. As an investigative reporter whose covered numerous murder trials I appreciate how difficult it is to tell a story with so many facets. A great read for those interested in solving "unsolvable crimes".

I would like to know the theory of how Lindburg and this other German man who died were connected. Is the theory that Lindburg hired this other man to kidnap the son? If Linburg committed a prank, how did the child get killed. If it was a prank, how did the German man get involved to get the ransom money. It does appear that Hauptmann was innocent, but it would be nice to hear some theories of who did kidnap the child. It seems unlikely that Lindburg and the German were both connected; however, it does sound like Linburg was involved and it sounds like the German was involved. This is very confusing. Too bad a thorough investigation was not conducted by the police and maybe we would not be having this conversation almost 100 years later.

One theory is that there were 2 crimes: the baby's death and the cover-up, and the extortion of "ransom" money. Early on, Lindbergh had allowed 2 underworld guys to see the nursery ransom note and even copy it--it was soon circulating among the NY underworld, which would have allowed the unique signature to be copied and used on the follow-up ransom notes by people not involved with the baby at all.

While I can't give specific details of the task force investigation in 1991, I can tell you that investigators interviewed Mr Pettit mutiple times, including at his home, as well as his family. He submitted to a polygraph examination and also viewed line-ups of persons of interest in the case.... That is a good question though!

I researched and wrote a paper on this when I was a senior in high school. I have never believed that Hauptmann was involved in it at all. Back then I had it pinned on Isadore Fisch. The idea that Lindbergh was involved in the kidnapping and murder of his own baby was not widely known then. My thoughts on that are that Charles Lindbergh’s wife, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, lived until 2001. It could be that the suspicion that Lindbergh was in on it or was in charge of it were not widely known to keep Anne from having to deal with negative sentiments from the public. However since she’s deceased now as well, this is when skeletons start falling out of the closet. It makes sense that Lindbergh would be in on it. He was on Team Hitler and the Nazis. This happened in the 1930’s right around or just before Hitler’s rise to power. Lindbergh agreed with Hitler about eugenics. He believed that there were certain people who had more value than others. He wanted these people to reproduce. The ones he considered of no value were first to be given birth control to reduce their population and later were to be taught other ways to have sex with no pregnancy risk and then they were introduced to abortion. If you’re pregnant and you don’t want to be, get an abortion. That’ll get the population of the undesirables going down. Increasing the number of the superior race while reducing the number of undesirables is eugenics. Eugenicists believe that people who don’t meet the characteristics of the superior race should be exterminated. Lindbergh’s Baby Charly had a vitamin D deficiency which made his bones too soft. He had hammertoes. His head was too big for his age. This could be a serious lifelong problem requiring multiple surgeries, causing brain damage, reducing intelligence, and there could be other problems that go with it also. Lindbergh could not let it be known that his son was not developmentally normal or above in every way. Baby Charly was an embarrassment and he had to go. I don’t know if the plan included murdering the baby or not. They might have just planned to kidnap him and take him far away to be raised and hope no connection was ever made. Or the plan could’ve been to murder the baby from the beginning so that there would be no chance for a reunion. I do believe that Lindbergh was involved in the kidnapping and murder of his own son. He was despicable enough to do that.

This destroyed my family . My grandfather verbally stated he wanted me and my younger brother to inherit things and was actually going to meet with his lawyer and change his will. He died in his sleep taking a nap on a couch that Sunday. We’re we’re adopted by him . My father contested that moved in the house against his will and my wishes. And within 2 years had sold all 3 houses 7 classic cars. Cleaned every safety deposit box. Blew the 311k on cocaine and drinking. That was 11 years ago I work every day of my life in construction I never let myself think about what could be because it just pisses me off

I think her father should be informed , that she had used a friend's credit card..so Tiffany wanted to flee. maybe she wanted to visit a friend ... she lost her way and got lost. she rested by the tree and because her feet hurt, she took off her shoes and headband. she found the train tracks and hoped to find her way again, or the next village... then the train came...i think it was an accident
