My only guess is the shot did 3, some wooden objects have resistance to piercing damage, and DND usually rounds down when half numbers come into play.

Admittedly, it being set in the Warhammer 40k universe is a huge boon to me. It's definitely very repetitive and the combat isn't all that innovative. I just love the world and lore so it stands out for me.

In this particular battle, I faced a Beastmen army supported by a Tzeentch army so most of the value came from that I'm sure. But I do believe the Beastmen units have a "price" in multiplayer. Maybe it's calculated that way? Good question though, I don't play them much.

This is why I love campaign because any character you play can turn into a literal demi-god. But yeah Gelt's transmutations cool down as soon as the spell wears off. And he has crazy power recharge. Just have to make sure you keep your winds of magic reserve high between battles!

I see what you mean. The Tzeentch army was fairly elite so not many kills but exactly the kind of thing Gelt wants to be dropping Final Transmutation and Searing Doom on. 🔥

@rollnycgaming2279 after metal lore rework i just spam overcasted searing doom becouse it kills models in a unit on impact instead, which instantly makes their fighting potential smaller. I also use the wolf vortex spell for that reason. All those area of effect like final transmutation or flock of doom spells need a big blob to be worth it now a days like 3+ units. 3+units can give you like 10-15k dmg per cast, its also the best against units that have alot of models. Basically a really good chav/mob killer but worse against those elite units. Try more blobbing and i can tell you that kill counter will go up drastically.

Yeah, the Githyanki are an impressive, if not entirely fanatical people for sure. She's one of my faves though.

That was the Primaris Captain from the 9th edition Astarted vs. Necrons box set. He's one of my favorites for sure.

Zevlor really catches a lot of flak. He does his best to protect people who are otherwise defenseless and when he "lets them down" in act 2, it's easy to forget how the Absolute can make almost anyone do whatever it wants. Mind control is sort of the Illithids thing.

At the time of recording, the Drukhari were able to bring in certain Aeldari units to ally with them. In that case, the Skyweavers seemed like a good fit.

I'd definitely recommend this adventure! It comes with the D&D Starter Set and does a great job whether you're playing or DMing to give you a breakdown on how a lot of facets of the game work. 👍

This is one of my fave missions in the game, even though it's super early on.

I tried without the hammer but MAN is that thing tough! I also realized too late that it is vulnerable to bludgeoning damage when it is overheated, so there's that too!

I also didn’t know about the Hammer. Felt bloody proud when thag achievement popped though

Just devils advocate, wouldn't a Bladeguard be just as effective in a Land Raider? That's also a HUGE investment just to get the Brethren into combat without dying.

Bladeguard can’t take a BT character with them which is the biggest downside compared to Sword Bros with a helbrecht/ emperors champion etc.

Helbrecht turns sword bros to 11 and sword bros turn Helbrecht/EC to 11 maybe 12
