Not really. You can't attack parachuting pilots of downed planes. This rule doesn't apply on paratroopers.

I I may be wrong rather than trade broadside for broadside but as I have read it French gunners were told to fire on the Role to elevate the cannons firepower and try to disable a superior enemy ship by by staking out as much rigging and sails to give them a chance to get away. British ship in side to side combat would attempt to go hard a starboard or port, as guns bear fire a stern take broadside. This would completely sweep the cannon deck killing everyone and destroying all cannons and additionally bring down all the masts making the enemy ship completely vulnerable to boarding or complete destruction. A stern rake is complete devastation the cannonballs travel stern to bow of the enemy.

The Cluster Missile was rather weak. Could barely destroy any building with it. Softened them up some, but if they were spread out more then it was nigh useless. I don't think I even used it in combination with the Chem Missile. On their own they were barely enough to destroy one building. Combined...well...destroying the Con-Yard could cripple the enemy, so...there's that. C&C 3 added some flair and damage to it. And that Hunter Seeker felt so random.

Bit of a pointless debate of which ship would “win in a straight fight” first off I’m a “yank” and its the victory hands down there ain’t enough patriotism or copium in the world to change that fact. That being said it was never the American plan to contest British Naval supremacy. First off no shipyard in the world would be able to crank out a fleet before the Royal Navy showed up to bombard it into dust. Even if one did all it would do is earn the ire of the entire Royal Navy who would quickly smash the entire thing. The US being wise to this adopted a strategy of commerce raiding. Fit her fleets to run down trading vessels and faster ships while outrunning ships of the line. Saved money and more importantly lives while making the war increasingly unpopular in London who quite frankly had bigger fish to fry.
