the music timed with the drone's movements is awesome! (also would be cool to see how it's built!)

Are you using a action cam ?
@xaqfpv8 күн бұрын
Nope. This is the on-board recording from the vtx. Walksnail Avatar V2 only records 1080p 60fps. Not bad for being so small and lightweight. The camera is a Caddx HD Pro.

Great run! Yeah the speed is a bit wonky to me as well but I think I just need to play it more. My problem is that whenever I wanna play an AG racer I usually just boot up wip3out or pure. NG is a great game though.
@Ephemera_RL8 ай бұрын
Looking good to me. Just need to figure out the pacing of your hypers and use them as often as you can. Though that does introduce another understanding of handling too. Lol
@xaqfpv8 ай бұрын
Thanks! I've been saving hypers for straights, but I've noticed that with proper strafing you can easily hang a lot of turns. I need to work on that. I've also noticed that speed can require extra pitch at times, little bumps and dips are much harder on you when you're going really fast.
@tairach63738 ай бұрын
Happy to see you're still going fast 🖖

The soundtrack of Redout 2 is a common complaint. The vibes of both WipEout and Redout 1 just can't be beat, but Redout 2's understated/subdued soundtrack lets the tracks and gameplay shine instead. Redout 2 does have highlight examples though, not just from Leonardo. Seashore Burnout, Arcade Rush, Racer's Home being some. Martian Dreams by Zardonic. Lights Out by Adrian. LARSEN by Matteo. 1984 by Ticon. Sledge by DWTD, etc
@xaqfpv8 ай бұрын
I agree. I wouldn't say it's BAD, it just doesn't bang like the other games. That being said, the music effects also play a huge part in the redout 2 experience. The way it drops out on a huge jump but comes slamming back in as you land makes the jump that much more intense! Also the sounds the actual ships make themselves are cooler than the other games in my opinion. I guess playing the game for so many hours exposes you to the same songs so often that you almost don't hear them anymore.
@dandy_is_lion8 ай бұрын
@@xaqfpv That's a very fair point! It also doesn't help that Redout 2's dynamic sound engine tends to play only small parts of the full song. A blessing and a curse. Wipeout HD Fury handles this well by only applying subtle effects to music but letting the song play in its entirety, while also letting you play your own music via USB with its own dynamic mixing

Terror Rupes is such a good venue. I played it for the first time in a multiplayer match (don't have DLC yet) I sucked balls but I instantly fell in love with the tracks

Glad do see you still racing .. gives me great pleasure to watch a newcomer on the rise.. One tip i still want to give you .. be more aggressive on your hyperboost... Give it as much regular boost on top and reaally drain your shields .. even if you smack against the wall as long as you are still alive afterwards it should shave seconds from your laptimes
@xaqfpv Жыл бұрын
Thanks, I appreciate the tips! I've noticed that most people boost themselves almost to death, the problem with that is I still hit the wall (or other racers) frequently enough to still need that little pad of shielding. I guess I need to work on perfecting WHERE to use the hyperboost as well, I could probably use it more often. But you're right, if you race clean enough your shields are pretty much just extra boost fuel.
@tairach6373 Жыл бұрын
@@xaqfpv yea I would suggest to stop as soon as you are hearing the warning at 25% ... Should get you enough leeway for errors... You can interrupt your hyperboost by pressing hyperboost again or breaking 👌

Keep it up! Learn the tracks. Keep tweaking that build. I think I was somewhere around 200+ hours before I found exactly what I wanted. But once it all clicks into place you'll be wishing there was a difficulty higher than Nightmare. Lol

XD Yea you usually suck the first few times you get on a new Track.... everybody does , i loved to watch the first impression streams of Rokinath ... Long time Redout veteran , but even he struggles with a new track ;-) and to mention Caldera is pretty tricky too I like Crab land more then Terror Rupes but... Rupes has a lot of fans too ...

Ahhh it warms my heart to see newcomers becoming sweaty and "gitting gud" ... keep it up , you're doing great.. Yea the Redout community is a kinda lovely place .. I really like the boyz❤ .. One tip .. at nuliajuk at te big ass jump .. you're better of to not detatch early ... the way you do it is the best way to get the 2km trophy jump but you can skip the middle platform by strafing around it and you keep more speed at the beginning while not detaching ;-)
@xaqfpv Жыл бұрын
Ha, I was wondering if that actually helped at all. It was a straighter line and I didn't have to roll, but I lost speed. I figured it was just for jumping's sake. I never did any off-track stuff and wanted to try it!

Comin in hot brother 🙃👍🏼 Good flight. I loved flying planes back in the day. That was my issues. Finding spots to land and transporting a 6-10 foot wing span to the field. Back then it was like quads you just didn’t have one. My bedroom started to look like our local airport. Any way good flight my friend🤙🏼

Thanks man! I've always wanted a plane but never knew where to take it. Figured I'd finally just go for it. VERY different from quads but thats part of the fun! Looking into a smaller plane or wing that still handles nicely enough.
