I remember going to New York City with my grandparents and I was in the Empire State building and we saw the freedom tower and my grandpa told me what happened in New York of 9/11 because I was like six years old I didn’t know what it was. All I knew was that planes flew into buildings and when we left the Empire State building, we took a taxi to Ground Zero and I remember seeing all the names and the pool just filling up with water, and my grandpa saluting to the people who died. Rest in peace to the 2000 people who died on that awful day.

Thank you for the video! I am eager to try an option with the train. I am not sure what you mean with "lots of luggage". Approximately I will have one laptop Bag, a check-in luggage and maybe a carry-on. Is this considered a lot, or am I fine with that in a train? I will arrive at around 4.15pm at EWR in January.

Thank you for this tour. I live in Queens and I really didn’t know anyone firsthand who died on 9/11 but I haven’t been able to bring myself to come downtown and see the memorial yet. Maybe someday but until then tours like yours are so meaningful and insightful.

I love videos like this. I’m from Montreal in Canada. I’ve never really travelled except to Ontario and to Nova Scotia, where I have family. New York reminds me of a bigger version of Montreal, but different… I know that Montreal is nothing compared to New York with all its history…etc I remember I was in high school In September 2001, I believe I was in my second year of high school.

That was absolutely excellent. I particularly like that John mentioned the streets he walked by name. Most videos don't. As far as Henry Ward Beecher, the great man, would love to hear a video on Victoria Woodhull and Beecher's alleged (?) affair..
