If anyone else is having trouble with that second cord from the intro either just play the first 3 strings or mute the other 3, i was a bit confused because it sounded terrible but this fixed it

Nice tutorial bro. Tone is on point too. This is one of those songs that sounds painful to learn until it sounds awesome when you put it all together. I’m a massive QOTSA fan. I actually have Josh’s signature Maton BB1200jh (thing is a beast, you’d love it). Recently I got my hands on a pedal that isn’t easy to get called The Skeleton Key by Funny Little Boxes in the UK. It’s ’QOTSA in a box’ and a must have for any players.

Thank you so much for putting this up man. Iv literally been trying to learn this song FOR YEARS! Always found it unimaginably complex but now that you break it down, it actually seems like I could manage to play this in due time. The right hand plucking bits still seem a tricky for a crappy player like me but i no longer feel like breaking my guitar trying to grasp the beautiful riffs this song has. 😅

11:43 the chord that Guitar 2 is playing in the back during this section is a Cmaj7 chord with the root on the A string. It’s x3240x

Yea never tuning my guitar to C standard again after my B string snapper while i was tuning it to G. At one point i was turning the knob and the tune wasnt even changing

Really appreciate these amazing tutorial videos! I was wondering if you could cover how to play "I Woke Up in a Strange Place" by Jeff Buckley? There seems to be almost no decent tabs for that song. The song is quite a good listen, although, I personally favor his acoustic version. If you could that would be awesome and once more, thank you for the videos! ❤

@@zofo264 thanks so much! For that intro riff the main thing is accurate picking I'd say. You can start with some exercises that stay on one string and then once you're feeling more comfortable and have gotten a bit quicker, try some picking exercises that jump between strings which is what this intro riff does. Basically comes down to spending time practicing. Always start slow to reinforce the right things before speeding up 👍
