While i definetly prefer the fleischers and the famous studios popeye shorts I honestly liked the 60s king features and hanna barbera popeye shorts For what their worth the ideas are still there and its still the same old popeye

I love that these home releases have the cover songs on them. In fact, I managed to, through the help of some online, find most of the cover songs used.

While this is so cool, you should have used the a.a.p prints for these cartoons for maximum authenticity.

Who imagine Robin Williams who voice the Genie didn’t want his voice or the Genie to be in advertising, merchandise, or anything, which of course didn’t work and didn’t want to voice the Genie again, so he didn’t return for The Return of Jafar or the Aladdin tv series, but when Disney CEO Jeffery Katzenberg resigned in 1994, Disney really apologized to Williams and he did return to voice the Genie in the King of Thieves and his appearance in Disney’s One Saturday Morning. Remember Robin Williams was really praised as the voicing the Genie that no one should replace him even himself.

Fox Kids missed the boat on acquiring Hanna-Barbera's Pirates of Dark Water as a regular TV series, even though it played for 2 years, elsewhere(ABC and first-run syndication). The Pirates of Dark Water could've played in the daytime afternoons on Fox Kids, back in the fall of 1991, following Peter Pan & The Pirates(Disney owns that program)!!!
