i dont think the interpretation is on point, the choreographer need to do more research about the cultural value on each motion. Since Minangkabau Tari Piring variable and quite complex and it represent the origin of its district. Such as Tari Piring from Agam District are super different from Tanah datar district. Dance represent culture and its own society. But this dance mixed it into one and combine motion from every district. On my perspective, this is the same as plucking the value from it's root without knowing the meaning of it. That's why research is important

Folclórico, em todo o lugar no mundo, incluindo nordeste do Brasil, danças como o forró, dança festa junina, frevo etc são todas de origens judaicas e na Galícia, Astúrias, Portugal etc não é diferente
