Nice, just got my K2 v2, will be doing a moding video soon. Was tempted to get pudding keycaps too, the lack of shift key under the enter key would annoy the hell out of me though 🤣 How would it look with the original keychron acent keys on the left and right side of the keyboard and just having the pudding caps on the alpha/numbers/function row/arrow keys?

Interesting, I've done a silicone mod and lubed my gateron brown switches for my keychron k2v2 and was wondering why my spacebar has this unique, semi-loud I guess "two wooden sticks hitting each other" sound. I'm not opposed to it but would like a different sound, and it still remains despite the mods I have done thus far. But then I realized that maybe it's not the lack of lube causing it, but the keycaps themselves. Guess we'll see when my new set of PBT keycaps arrives in a week or two

For the foam, did you put foam over the battery? I'm looking forward to foam mod mine with the foam that came in the box.

no, i didnt put the foam over the battery. i think that would cause heat issues. I cut around the battery

Just curious. I noticed that you asked this question 11 months ago. So, did you decide to cover the battery with foam or not? Interestingly, I've watched several videos. Some modders put foam over the battery while others didn't. Just curious about your choice and the results.

The k2 v2 has rgb. The key cap style I think is the reason for why it looks quite different afterward. The light is just shining through the sides of the keycaps in a glowy way.

No the keycaps dont fit on the keyboard you need special keycaps

you're right, the right shift doesn't fit well. I just used the old keycap for right shift. enter and left shift fit properly though.
