This actually really happened in real life. God cut them all down. “When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I don't know if it's so important but if you pay attention all 4 stars from this movie are wearing the watch in the right hand. (Like me) I did notice from the first time I saw the film more than 30 years ago.

I worked in a nursing home for a time and one day, after visiting was over, I went to a clients room and she was crying. After coaxing her gently, she started to try to get out some things. I had a feeling that something was going on with the man that just left. She told me that he was her husbands best friend. Her husband had passed away and his best friend was there for her, supporting her and helping her. I asked if she was upset because she had feelings for him and felt guilty and she said that it was that. They fell in love through supporting one another and she loved him visiting her, but it left her with such horrible guilt that they were in love. She thought that her husband would be so angry with her. I sat with her and gently told her that I didn't know her husband, so I can't say what he would want for her, but that anyone that truly loved her would want her to be happy an if admitting their love and enjoyed their final years together made them happy, then I would imagine that her husband would be happy for them. I didn't work there for much longer, so I don't know if they ever became more, but that tortured look on her face will live with me always and even thirty years later, I remember how sad she was. I truly hope that they could have some happiness together.
