This is simply not true. At competition level, 99% of shots are building up to the shot that actually “kills”.

Thanks.. What you say is true. If I play with someone new, the 'feels' panicked - nervousness - unable to concentrate are always be my biggest obstacle. Only after feel comfortable with that person (knowing or after 2-3 matches) then I can beat them. I have to be able overcome my own thoughts n feels

My swing problem is that I use too much shoulder power and it is not switched to the elbow unless I aim my elbow to the forward. Otherwise my elbow stays at the back. So if I conciously think, I aim my elbow (it takes some seconds) and then throw the racket. My coach said it is too late (because of the aiming). How do you think my problem is..? Is there any idea how to fix it? Any advice available? I am stuck in this problem at this moment. Please help me..!!

I'm a badminton beginner, I've been playing for 1 year, however I don't train with the coach because there's no possibility for that. I'm simply learning to play during games and at home I watch videos on how to play, etc... However, I always had trouble making a good shot and I come to the conclusion that I use my shoulder a lot (I'm going to get the strength of the shot from my shoulder In fact, I even have pain in my shoulder now) but congratulations for the explanation, it clears up a lot of my doubts! Like for video bdw! ❤
