He's happier now. He needs to continue to tour; he's an English treasure.

With all due repect... Ive seen this song live numerous times at MSG and at other venues, I feel something is missing here. That Strat is a Fender DG replica, as he auctioned off the original Black Strat a few years ago. It does not sound the same...please correct me if I'm wrong?

What ever happened to respect? I don’t want to hear a bunch of idiots singing off key. Sing in your car or the shower. Otherwise shut up!

That is a truly new version. I have seen Richard Thompson perform this live several times, including him playing solo on to occasions. It is a song so good that it is capable of transferring.

Imagine if David Gilmore was your nearly 80 year old grandpa. "Hey where's Grandpa Gilmore tonight?" / "Oh I think he's in New York City melting people's faces off in Madison Square Garden with epic guitar solos. Then he's flying home tomorrow to craft more songs in Pro Tools."

First great job recording this. I remember high school going out Friday night to Huntington Beach we’d get in the back of my camper shell and spark up with quad speakers on 8 track. WOW great memory. Ive been lucky to grow up at this time the music of our day is still kicking ass today. Thanks

When David Gilmore was 18, I don't know how he pictured himself 60 years in the future...but the correct answer would have been "rocking as hard if not harder than your 18 year old self". This dude has CRUSHED the longevity aspect of musical badassery. The dude is pushing 80 years old, and his solos are more rocking than 99% of guys young enough to be his grandson.

I appreciate guitarists who prioritize the music over their own showmanship. They avoid awkward, unnecessary movements or excessive stage antics, keeping the spotlight on the melody rather than being swayed by the audience's reactions. Dave definitely fits this description, both in his performances and in his everyday demeanor.

Plus the sound mix was horrendous and all the solos were loss. CMAs usually do better.
