My Grandma could have been among these people; she was born in 1892 in the Shire Green area. I have such fond memories of catching the tram with her as a small child. She wouldn't recognize the world today.

I remember catching the trams in Sheffield with my Grandma as a small child; it was so sad to see them go.

This is before my time as I was born in the 70s, but it makes me nostalgic for this period. It's criminal how the council bulldozed so much of the old architecture that can be seen here, especially at the top of The Moor., but also the old bank in Fitzallan Square. They finished the job the Luftwaffe started, and changed the feel of the city forever. Some interesting stuff came from the re development though, such as the wonderful Hole in the Road, the numerous underpasses, and the old Castle Market, all of which have now disappeared themselves, and which I miss.

I was about seven years old when I used to catch the tram with my Grandma; such lovely memories and all I wanted was to be with her, nothing more. She was a treasured part of my early life.

I used to live in the Abbeydale, Millhouses area, but my parents moved me overseas many years ago. It was a delightful area and I have missed it ever since.

My family was a part of Sheffield for centuries, but sadly, it no longer exists. Most of the buildings and huge numbers of buildings have vanished. I could see the end coming, that's why I moved away twenty-five years ago. The foreign country that has replaced it is grotesque and menacing. The atmosphere totally different to the days of real Sheffielders ,before the disgusting brown sludge infestation. It used to be a beautiful city with pride and extremely high standards.

I left Sheffield in 1952, I watch recent videos of Hillsborough in Sheffield and cannot believe they are real.

I left Sheffield 70 years ago with my parents. However, I am certain that I would still love the Millhouses area.

I was born into a questionable housing area of UK, but my parents ensured that I eventually earned my university degree and moved onto a better life.

If Meadowhall hasn't finished off the city centre the Internet will. Like the current immigration numbers issue or nett zero nobody asks the people or gives logical explanation. Do as I say not do as I do.

And to think, Maggie got a knighthood for this.
