Also, this is a rare cancer. I was told 1-2 ppl per million per year and it IS genetic. Steve Jobs, Maria Menoundo, and Aretha Franklin had this cancer

I've just been diagnosed with NET head of pancreas. My symptoms are the same Sarah's, N/V/D severe since June 2024, I also thought I had food poisoning. Three months of this leading to the point of potassium and magnesium depletion, dehydration induced kidney injury and muscle cramps again severe. 4 ER visits with 2 admissions a very smart young GI doc aid this is suspicious and ordered a MRI. ( I had 3 prior CT scans that did not find my pancreas mass) the MRI with contrast showed a mass posterior head of pancreas, size of walnut, neuroendocrine suspected. I was transferred to a hospital and group of NETs specialists. Currently I'm facing a dotatate scan and surgery, a whipple. No pre op chemo or radiation needed per oncologist. Genetic testing, scan and surgical consult october 14. I'm a nurse, RN so I have a good understanding of this condition. But really concerned about the whipple!

I have a stage 4 GI endocrine cancer. I so wish she had the name of the chemo drugs she took. Right now i'm on a three drug cocktail of irenotecan, oxaliplatin and 5U. Perhaps you can follow up with her and post in the video description. Also prep the interview subjects prior to the interview to have treatment details at their finger tips as much as possible. thank you.

It’s more the drs that are the problem at least 80% of the time…. not lack of research or insurance. Drs love to take only easy routes and blame age, judge by gender, blame stress and anxiety. If drs can’t listen to patients and can’t let go of belief they know more than patient’s do about patient’s body…. no amount of research can help.

I have DICU and it’s explained to me as stage O and it can’t leave the ducts so they either do surgery to remove it or just watch it and wait, so I’m confused how you say y or u survived it when it’s classified as non lethal??
