Curse the bastards who ran Wonderland into the ground and left it for dead. I miss it a lot more now the older I get.

This era was truly magical growing up in Sydney with Wonderland. Such great nestoligia it brings a Tear to my eyes because that time can never be the same and I miss those innocent days

I've been to Wonderland in 2001, before they torn it down in 2004.

My mum went there 1 year after this ad, she said it was a pile of shit because of the rides, they looked old, scary, and the rides sucked. But this commercial makes me think of FNAF and the 5 kids incident because of 1987.

Those wonderland jingles were absolutely poor. None of them were catchy or clever

this video just makes it seem so much further away with the crappy music, i swear they never played that over the speakers ever. As much as we'd all love wet n wild to be as brilliant as what wonderland once was it won't be. It did become kinda limited in the year prior to demolision though. Wonderland was a place where all the teenagers could go & just chill without needing to spend money on crap & where kids could face their fears and try to one up their parents with MAD-ish rollercoasters

Kind of reminds me of the sea world themed park that closed down at Yanchep in WA. Once again owned by Japanese in the 80's. Closed down in the late 90's. I didnt know what the hell it was at first. Giant Neptune head looming over Yanchep lording over a demolished theme park surrounded by a fence.

The hamburgers there would leave a taste in your mouth that wouldn't disappear for days. Horrendous. Plenty of good times had there with the wonder pass... And the .$5 after 5pm on a saturday. Plenty of spunky young 80s girls too. Bring back the bush beast.

Same thing happend to "Old Sydney town" it shut down to in 2003 I think such a shame I blame the currant generation Generation Y and the new lot which I think there Calling Generation U (gen useless) since there part of the "instant generation where everything has to be done simply like 2 minute noodles (and yes I can hack out on Gen Y because I'm part of it since I'm only 25)

Thanks for posting this. Brought back great nostalgic memories of the park and all those wonderful people who had first worked there from the very first day of employment. 1985 I was one of the first 18 supervisors employed to train staff to operate food stalls in the park. We had to prepare and to set up the located food outlets for the grand opening of the park. Great time.

I remember going there with a family firend, as a kid, as he delivered wood for the Bush Beast. Was annoyed when the NSW Govt in their infinite stupidity sold it to Chinese developers. It's now a major industrial area with places like LG and Asic having large warehouses located there. If you are ever in Sydney you can still drive past and "feel the ghosts" as it were, just head along the M7 or Wallgrove Rd toward the M4.

Several of them actually. i wish i could go back to wonderland and experience it. lets hope the new Wet and Wild will be our band aid, even though nothing can be better then Wonderland.

Some of my best childhood and teenage memories include WONDERLAND. One memory that I'd like to share is when my dad made me ride on the pirate ship. I was so scared but dad was telling me I had no choice because I was on the line already. Well, I loved it! The snowy river rampage was another fav". I loved the place and visited most school holidays. Dan388, thank you for posting this. What a loss it is for the kids today. Cheers
