A hugely underrated record; it had such an impact on me when I first heard it and still does. Deserves way more respect and recognition than it gets. Wish it would get reissued on lp.

I used to cover this 15 years ago, mixed it in with my own dross and it stood out so much. Hands down one of the best songwriters of my generation. Seen him solo and with band and had pleasure to talk to him. One amazing humble human being

What an absolute gem of an album - Christ knows why I have never heard any of this until now especially as I have five albums by AMERICAN MUSIC CLUB.... Mark Eitzel is a treasure.

I loved 'Mission Rock' so much that one time I went there and sat all day just playing the song in my head. Then I went to see an Eitzel gig. I was talking to to him telling him how much I love Mercury. He looked at me and said, "We're really gonna sound like shit tonight." He was great though. He was playing in an eight-piece band at a pizza parlor in Berkeley.

One of my favorites albums ever. Over all of these years, there is no other record that I've played as or as often.

What a killer album! It plays like an old Jazz standard, Timeless songs from a songwriter that is hands down one of the best

I saw you with Mark at the Fine Line in 1996, Simone, and was absolutely stunned by your smooth skills on the kit. I meant to compliment you on your playing after the show, but didn't... so I'm telling you now.

Well, funky drummer. Let me say; great job on this album. Reminds me of ringo on John lennon's 1st solo effort, the plastic ono band, I think it's called. That's a compliment, I know some people don't appreciate his talent. I happen to also be left handed, as ringo is, and dabble in drumming. I'd be happy as a clam if someone paid me that compliment. Great job!!!

Masterful and majestic...one of my faves.

It's a crime against humanity this album is not available on Itunes or Spotify. I agree this may be one of the most underrated albums of all time. Eitzel's poetry is in high form.

This is Eitzel's greatest album, and it really is an overlooked gem. I hope more ppl throw some change Eitzel's way...especially for Everything is Beautiful and Mission Rock Resort...two of the greatest songs ever recorded.
