I had just been divorced. At an arts and crafts show, I heard....swords and sheilds? There was...swordfighting? I ran over to check it out, talked to a few people and met my family for the next 30+ years. Fighting, yes...and dying, and making bread, navigating by the stars, studying shipbuilding and blacksmithing. Learning to make medicines from herbs, bake recipes thousands of years old. Embroidery, archery, weaving, ancient languages, clothing styles, making chianmail and mead.....the list goes on, and on, and on. Bottom line: if you like to MAKE THINGS? If you love to LEARN THINGS? It's your place to shine.

This video is INSANELY beautiful. The cinematography, the music, the editing, the transitions….my son and I couldn’t decide if we were more enamored with the footage and how it was portrayed or the actual mechanics of the making of the video. Devastatingly beautiful and visually stunning. BRAVO!!!!

Are used to be in the sca until the politics, and the general people that were just nasty as they could be because they just didn’t know me made me quit. And to get anywhere you have to change yourself to an individual and be their slave for decades to get anywhere.

I joined the SCA back in 1984 when there was a group in the college I went to. I've been away for a long time for many reasons.. I have to say it made me very emotional. Very well done video and an example of what the SCA was meant to be.

Same story, little chapter at the local college, '93 though, so a little later. Been out for a long while, but still have some fond memories. Fantastic video indeed, representing, is it says, "the dream"

I simply LOVE this video. I love the SCA. I have more confidence of who I am in the SCA than I do in real life. And I have that because of the love and support I have from my friends and people I know in the SCA. They helped me come out of my proverbial shell and have taught me how to live my life and taught me new skills. Love each and every one of ya.

This is the most beautiful film about the SCA that I've ever seen in 40 years! It really captures what the SCA should be. Caveat - don't join the SCA based on this film, you will be so very disappointed.

Thank you for this video. I’ve spent the last 2-3yrs in the SCA feeling like the Dream that I’ve lived for over half my life was dead to me. This reminded me of what I still love about our Society and made me realize that the Dream isn’t dead simply sleeping waiting to be reawakened. From the bottom of my heart I thank you so much for this video.
