A quick thing to try on the ignition switch issue - CAN you get a small vise grip on the rod on the lower column?? IF SO, see if it'll actuate(sounds like the sector gear is broken), you might get it to crank at least by just pulling the vise grip toward the firewall, OR at least get power to lights, etc. Food for thought & IT DOESN'T COST ANYTHING!! (Best part)

Party Wagon a friends mom had one of these but she never drove she let us drive it so during the week we drove it to earn money and on Fridays and weekends WE PARTIED that old WAGON could be spotted outside most parties or bars during the 1980’s with ZERO maintenance our money was for Booze and gas and maybe a quart of oil poured on top of the motor occasionally we would park the Wagon slightly away from the party so not to be seen exiting it by prospective girls but as the booze flowed and the party moved to a new location and if it was dark enough the Wagon would Magically transform into a 67 Camaro at least that was what we told the girls as we loaded them into the rear doors or slid them into the rear gate …..one night stopped at a red light as the light turned green the WAGON dropped her Driveline we rolled around the corner and and turned off the headlights and the PARTY WAGON faded into history…..
