Thanks, works on Acer Aspire V3-371 ! First tried to remove battery and shortcut jumper - but it didn't work. Your solution is easy - and IT WORKS :)

I don't get to the unlock password screen , after tipyng the wrong password 3 times . The screen frozen with a "invalid password" message . Can't get out from there unless I force shut it off 🔘

Already removed the cmos battery but no luck, also done still no luck, no acer comes up from the site but tried all the passwords on the site with no luck. I have an Acer Aspire 3 (A314-32-C83Q). Do you have any other options? Please help thankyou!

Just solved the issue with the Supervisor Password on an Acer Aspire ES1-512. Use the site www.biosbug.com for the hash key to log into the bios. Once in, use that same key as the Supervisor's old password, and make the new password <blank>. Upon save the supervisor password should be cleared. Hope this helps.

Yes its normal. there are different versions of bios. the next thing is to remove the cmos battery.

Most of the time it work on acer laptop but on other brand its more or less.. Anyway have you tried to remove the CMOS battery? its safer way to reset the bios..
