I too was expecting office blue (boring blue as my son calls it 😂). It's a lovely color! I didn't realize the Mood let's Christmas ink was so close in color to their Valentine ink release. It's beautiful but I'm curious as to their reasoning behind it. Btw, I love that you use a Stalogy with fountain pens/ink. I do too!!

@AmyB-CraftsPlansReads Hi Amy, It can be tricky to deal with these German pronunciations, so here is a tip from a German speaker. JoWo is pronounced Yo Vo (long “o”). The astrological sign Virgo does not have a “T” in the word. You are pronouncing “vertigo,” which is the name of a balance/inner ear illness. According to the head of the Nahvalur Pen Co, while he changed the spelling of the company’s name from Narwhal to the Icelandic spelling Nahvalur, he prefers that the name is still pronounced as Narwhal. That’s an interesting color combination on that pen blank and your finished pen. I wonder if the kidney bean color is based on the Kalamata olive? The Zodiac Tropical Punch and Japanese Autumn pen blanks are also very interesting colors. Have you seen either of those in person? I look forward to your next currently inked. Enjoy your new pen!

I looked on Goulet Pens, and the pen you have is the Ruby Kaweco Sport, which is more than the regular AL sports. They have it for $92.

I had to look up what Bucks Fizz is. Apparently it's a variant on a mimosa from the UK? It's a really pretty ink though! I open my calendar a day at a time, but I do so the day before. So just after dinner earlier I opened Day 7. I'm not a morning person, and I use YT all day at work for background noise, so I run the risk of getting accidentally spoiled if I wait until after work to open that day's ink. When I swatch, I create a swatch card with a Col-O-Ring card, I log it in my ink notebook (a small Clairefontaine notebook), and then I log it in my regular journal (which right now is one I got from Disney in like 2018, so not one made with fountain pens in mind, though it handles the ink surprisingly well for such). And I keep pics of spreads of my Col-O-Ring swatches on my phone, and usually that's what I use to decide what I want to ink up next. 😆

GREAT HAUL!! I bought all Mae's January kits because they were just perfect! As always I love how her kits are always so unique. Going with the Happy New Years kits for my monthly. I think we got almost the same kits. Haha! Also went with the the whimsical winter kit Winter Joy. How funny I bought the Moon Babies kit to use in June as that is my birthday month too and I just wanted to use it for that. This was one of her Throwback Thursday kits. Moody Flowers is just stunning! I am going with that kit for the last week in January as that goes into February and I just love the pink and purple in it. I feel like it is perfect for the beginning of February. Can I just say how excited I am that the Hobo weekly kits have a sidebar that is just one strip? Mae thinks of everything!!

I am going with the Hobonichi Cousin but in the Avec. Mae totally made me want to try it and I am super excited to start using it for the first time. Good luck in the Cousin and the Weeks. :D

👍🏾 The Diamine 'chameleon' inks are color-shifting shimmer inks. In certain lighting, the shimmer particles will appear to be one color and a different color when the page is tilted a bit. Sometimes I immediately see the difference and other times it's so subtle that it can be hard to see. At least for me. 😏

Thanks for this. I almost gave up on my vertical priorities until I saw this. It was my work planner but I just realized I had wasted space in my hourly daily that I could do the same the thing as what I was putting in my vertical priorities. Now I can use my VP to keep track of what photos/videos/reels I have created so that I actually remember to edit and post them. Thanks for the idea

That Queen Bee kit is just the cutest kit. I am using the monthly and the kit in August. Her scripts are the best! I am obsessed with her A5 Hillbilly font. It is my favorite!
