@ yes I didn’t speak English year ago but I am making videos in English because I want to get better . We all have to learn and keep learning , your videos are so good, you edit them so good!

@@Flowingthroughlife7 You are writing and speaking very good already. And yes we all learn everyday. My grandpa used to tell me to learn something new everyday, so I try to make sure that I do that. I love the editing part of making videos. I want to do even more with them than I do, like adding music and stuff. I just haven't taken enough time to do it. When I stop making videos everyday, I will have more time for that. Maybe I will start doing that this week since the weather will be nicer. I just wanted to make sure that I have all the cold days documented with the chicks so that I have record of what I do.

Thank you. I try to be easy with them. They are all nice and calm if I am. They are so funny too. They bring me a lot of joy. I don't know if people realize how therapeutic chickens can be. Maybe I could make them my therapy animals and take them with me where ever I go. Now that would be funny. I go to the store and in come 7 chickens.

@@Flowingthroughlife7 Awe, that is a wonderful dream and very possible. I live in a small town, so not on a farm at all. I want the same thing, but I decided that I could make due with what I have and make the best of where I am. Learn everything that I can while I'm here and when I get the opportunity to have what I want, then I will already have a lot of knowledge that I will need for that to work. So, I made a big garden first and have learned to grow and preserve our own foods. Then we got the chickens and I am learning all about them. I take small steps towards my goal.

@ yes taking small steps will for sure will lead us to our goals and yes I will also start from small steps and hopefully one day we both will be living our dreams . I am so excited to see more of your videos 💖

I did add ACV to their water during the summer, but have not done that since. I will start doing that again. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention again. I had one of the Lavender Orps when I got them, she had pasty butt where there was poop collected on her butt, I guess you would call it. But, that was when I very first got them, I never had any other problems. And I don't know which one that it was because they obviously looked even more alike when they were younger. I am sure they could use some ACV and other things as well at this time because of the stress of being in the coop the way they are and the weather patterns that have been crazy. I will do that starting today.

Yes pasty butt. Mine had that as babies too. In the summer they get probiotics from foraging greens. Clover is good for probiotics. So with that being said the apple cider vinegar can cause them to overheat and pant so I don’t add it to water on days over 80 degrees in summer since they forage. Also if they are unable to get to dirt much when it’s frozen it’s good to throw some grit in the run so they keep the crop clean. You have a lot of good gravel under your outside table by the porch which is perfect. I really love watching your girls in the evening as I watch my girls all day. If you know the breeds of your other girls I would love to know what they are. Have a blessed day!

@@ashleigh3173 Red is a Welsummer. Blackie is a Black sexlink. 2.0 and Marble are mixes that I am not sure what they are. When I speak to the lady that hatched them out for me, I will ask because she will know. We are thinking about getting either 3 or 5 more this year, but I want to make sure they have a better coop and run before we do that. The lady that I got the 4 that are not Orpingtons has several different heritage breeds and also mixes that she has hatches out from. Thank you so much for all of your suggestions. I gave them ACV today and also a spoonful of yogart mixed with some sprouts. In the morning I will add it to their oatmeal so it will easier to mix in that way.

Yes, she does hang back some. Her and Lavender hang out together a lot.

They do. I have been wondering if I feed them too much. They don't complain about it though. lol This is my first time with chickens. In the summer they were still babies, I just fed them chicken feed and lots of garden scraps. Now, they don't really eat their normal feed that much. I was getting about 3 eggs a day too, until a couple days ago when it got really cold.
