your shift boot technique saved me from a loop login. the sudo apt-get clean wasn't working. the one in the recovery mode did the job. thanks.

@@rdpaz14 all you need is a flash drive with windows installed Boot from flash drive tweak the magnify on login screen to be cmd then add an account as an administrator then login and enable cmd for yourself bit lengthy process, but can give it a shot

Yeah i can 1.Open powershell as admin 2. Type net user It will list all the users on your system, note your usernams 3. Type net user your username * 4.Enter your password and confirm it 5. That should work Thank you
