thanks for the inspiring session! i love cheesy vibe of mc303, but its like soundmark of 90s rave music. we dont have to be so afraid that something could sound corny, if it fits:)

I have connected mc 303 both with a midi cable and an headphone Jack from the mc 303 usb to the computer but no sounds comes through into logic. I probably need to try with a midi interface
@klankenkabaal
@klankenkabaal 25 күн бұрын
Just connect the main audio out of the MC-303 to the audio in of your sound card, for the MIDI you’ll indeed need a MIDI/USB interface
@eliseopau
@eliseopau 25 күн бұрын
@ I don’t have a midi/usb interface, I was trying with a cheap jack headphone/usb connected to the computer like a guitar settings, but it didn’t worked that way, tried also with a midi cable to the computer but nothing, maybe I need to go into midi settings on my MacBook. Or I have to try with the RCA cable to the mc 303 output left & right. Should that work?
@klankenkabaal
@klankenkabaal 25 күн бұрын
For audio, use the output L/R. If you use the internal sequencer you don’t have to bother with a MIDI cable

As a drummer, and songwriter, this is absolute gold. Just some feedback on the drums, which you may already have noticed, the beat could have been more of a shuffle or added some swing rather than straightforward with that little stutter at the end of the phrasing. you could have kept hats on the click with that shuffle on the kick underneath. With that said, subscribed. Keep it coming!

Thanks for this. Never knew you could layer synths like that! Question though, any particular reason you used an 'outside LFO' instead of the internal LFO in Drift?
@klankenkabaal
@klankenkabaal 2 ай бұрын
The internal LFO has a limited set of destinations, for instance you cannot affect the amp envelope, but in this instance I could have used the internal one. Using the external one also gives a bit better overview of whats going on
