I was around 13 when i started watching Hill Street Blues...it totally captivated me...i lived in Europe...now when I hear that intro again it sends shivers down my spine..I live in South Africa now..but the music takes me back instantly to the undeniably best series ever made... what a great job re enacting the opening scene... !! and a great looking police department!

As a retired command officer south of you in Toledo, Ohio: Thanks to my friends at the Rochester Police Department. As we know, a profession in law enforcement these days is challenging. What keeps us going is the love of our family and team. Equally, is our sense of humor. Humor helped me to make it over 30 years in a profession I loved and have now left. This appears to be the motto of the Rochester Police Department. If I was a new upcoming officer, this would be my first application. Thank you for making an 'ole timer' smile. Awww. That's so cute. Did you see the one that went viral last year (or maybe the year before)? Police jump in an elevator and start to boogie. We really need to promote this image of police officers and go back to training them as *Peace Officers,* not _only_ as Police Officers, b/c if they can maintain peace, there is less policing to do.
