Amazing that you were able to make such a long-term plan and actually made it happen in such a thoughtful way. Kudos and congrats on being mortgage & debt free!👏🥂

Wow Carl is very interesting and after watching this interview in it's entirety I found myself wanting to hear more about his thoughts on being home free. The subjects timing is impeccable with me personally, as well as imo millions of other kindred vanlife and tiny living spirits. I guess I will just have to buy the book...can't wait!!! thank you both for sharing, Trish from San Diego

Thank you, Trish, for your thoughts. You are definitely in good company, exploring Vanlife and alternative housing. Check out Episode 46 with Lance the founder of VanFest where we talk about the VanLife movement. ❤️

Thanks for interviewing me. Unfortunately, it was windy in Marfa TX, so the audio is hard to understand. I should have found a spot indoors somewhere. Live and learn. Also, the microphone might not have been very good. By the way what kind of mic do you use? Your voice was very clear without any background noise. Good job! Keep going.

Thank you for making it work, Carl. Many guests have had some kind of signal challenge due to travel wifi issues. We do the best we can. I use a Blue Yeti microphone. Travel safely!

People are so worried about how others will perceive them these days. It’s the same experience if you are a single woman who doesn’t want to be in a relationship. Why is it so hard to believe that other people don’t need a big house or a man to be happy?? I build my tiny (park model) home in 2020 and haven’t looked back. It has increased in value from $113K to $140K in only 3 years. Home values only increase these days. The costs associated with having a mortgage only make bankers rich and people cash poor. Break out of the crazy lies the banking and real estate industries have been selling in America. Home is wherever you feel comfortable.

That storage thing!!! In a house or paying for it somewhere else! I have two SMALL lockers in Chicago I’m emptying this summer. Less than $200 for 6 months in case I came back to Chicago. Nope - July emptying them! Oh maybe a YT video!!!
