What this game could have been someday... 😢 I mean even the simple thing for crying out loud. Like imagine if we had gotten sonic boom effects! And nicer re-entry :(

You could have that with mods. Honestly, the only thing I would want, is a physics clean-up, a proper surface friction, and maybe an optimization, so that the system doesn't load the entire game folder into RAM when you run the EXE. The rest can be done by mods.

@@Xoruam do you know of a good re-entry effect mod/icebuildup/sonic boom effect/ ground tessellation? (Legit question as I would love to have one) I mean yes you are right in the fact that a lot could be done to ksp with mods. And heck yeah the performance optimizations would be great. But then they didn't even do THAT with ksp 2. Also, I believe the graphics in ksp 1 with just a few mods are WAY better than they ever were in ksp 2. All the same what the game looked like in the trailer is way better than ksp 1 and 2 and thats what I was hoping for. (I know trailers always look better than the real thing, but the technology exists to have made it look just as good if they wanted to. It was always possible)
