These are the poorest construction i've ever seen in lenses. Iris guidance ring is actually threaded and using a thin screw to control the blades, no isolation but contrary on the 40mm M43 those whole comunicate directly with the optical elements in the lens, no o-rings, manufacturer (if we can call it like this) says you can not use focus motors on their lenses, also not calibrated from the factory, asymmetrical vignette, loose screws everywhere. Poor poor construction and strange technical choices made inside the lens. These will require at least 2 times per year service. Image wise is great, too bad for poor construction and QC.

Hi- yes it’s not the best low light camera (gets noisy and you could always play around with different log settings). That said it’s a great camera!

The lenses are listed as MFT lenses. But the C70 is 35mm sensor. Can you go into more detail about how this worked? There was no vignetting issues? Do you know if all of the Vazen 1.8x anamorphic work on C70?

hi - there are 2 versions for the vazen 40mm lens - MFT and RF mount. For the RF version, the lens is able to cover full sensor height of the Canon C70 sensor after 1.8x desqueeze and 2.39:1 crop on the image. I did see some vignetting in my shots.

@@wiimix cool, what monitor did you use? do you just do a 2x desqueeze for monitoring? Is there any option for properly doing a 1.8 desqueeze and the 140%(approximate) scale up in monitor? So you can see your final 2.4 x 1 image while monitoring?

@@HaydenAckerVideos I use a FEELWORLD 6 inch monitor. You can desqueeze via the camera settings at x1.3 or x2.0. It's not perfect but works pretty good!

Actually is the same lens but with different flange mount. Vazen has not disclosed their image circle coverage but its enough for the full height of the 16-9 senzor of the C70. Will result in a less wider than 4-3 senzor ( you will cropping in post ) but better than spending 2.5 more money for a full frame lens.
