Do you find yourself having to respond to all the emails/texts/phone calls to maintain your network and not "burn bridges" or can you just ignore/delete?

Most of the messages/emails I read and Ignore, I do take the calls, just because I'm unfortunately a polite person, but I as soon as they say their spiel, I tell them that I am not available for x or y locum job. It sure is a delicate balance.

In your experience are there any locums available for weekends only? (Saturday-Sunday)

@@HafizGhani-f5d The shortest locums I know are for a week. In those cases, the facility needs vacation coverage for someone. In my opinion, unless it is an ongoing thing, it is not worth doing only one week, because the credentialing headache is the same, be it for a week or a year.

Dr. Moyer exemplifies the goals I aspire to achieve in medicine: a Pathologist and Molecular Genetic Pathologist with deep expertise in clinical pharmacogenetics. Thank you for inviting her to share her story! 🫶🏽

Your comments on Punjabi reminded me of this video I came across recently which delves into the issue in detail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5DCYpRon8R0ptksi=lNsfjAe0JFN9K2TN I think this lady did a good job of explaining the underlying issues. What I found amusing were the comments from Punjabis across the border, many of whom appear to be under the illusion that Punjabi is thriving in Punjab and elsewhere in the diaspora, primarily based on the popularity of contemporary Punjabi music. The reality is that Hindi has replaced Punjabi in many Sikh households in cities. Sadly, the future of Punjabi is equally bleak everywhere.

Thank you both for sharing these fascinating experiences and anecdotes from your formative years. Your excellent Urdu and Punjabi make it all the more enjoyable for me, coming from across the border in the other Punjab. While not having attended a military type of establishment, the parallels and similarities of of our shared cultures are evident.
