You made the right decision to marry Harrith Islander based on your own choice. And it is good one as now your family is in good relationship with your parent.i know of a Malay lady doctor who married a Chinese doctor in same private hospital, and they are very happy couple with kids. Somebody i know is also like this. She went out of her way to get married a guy who wasnt the parents' choice. Eventhough, d marriage ended several years after that, i still salute her bcoz she has blossomed into sm1 with a strong character with her own mind, voice and stand definitely. Kudos to you, Nad!

I perceived Kate Lim to be one of the foremost psychologist in the country. I have the good fortune to be helped by her. Her ability to help me discover the best of me is uncanny. Training and 'exercising' your brain shouldn't come as strange. Humans are built with 3 main components, which are, (1) Physical, (2) Psychological and (3) Intellectual. We exercise our physical body. We study to enlarge our knowledge and understanding. Have we neglected psychological needs?

Hi Daniel, thanks for sharing. If you have a spouse that has the same direction in life as you, there is unity. You will share the same passions and move in the same direction together. So there is strength in that. But if you don't have the same direction, then you have to work towards a mutual understanding, though it might take time to arrive at that destination. At the end of the day, you want to have the support of your spouse in life's major choices. Another question to ask yourself, if the direction is different, are you able to make sacrifices?
