Nice content. I try my best to move my boat above the trap to haul as verticals as possible. Also with practice there is no need to get in the water to retrieve your boat. With practice you can motor up on to your trailer🤙🏼

First pull you guys had some big crab number one rule when pulling pots is just like fishing never let slack hit your line or your will lose your catch

@@shyammisra3551 Yes, I use the same body of water to store them and keep them cool. They usually last quite a long time.

Great crabbing action. If legal, can you keep a net handy to grab the crabs that fall off at the surface? Would using a net to scoop one up be considered as an illegal method of take?

Yes, that's correct. The crabs were on the floor because we had to recount them to double check and make sure we didn't go over the limit. Thank you for your concern though

Thanks for watching. We keep the crabs in the livewell and double check to make sure we have counted correctly before putting them in the cooler or bucket without salt water. Yes, ice is recommended after they are fully cooked

I’ve just recently got into crabbing , I’ve been going at torpedo wharf in San Francisco where we can’t keep the Dungeness unfortunately. It would be a dream come true to get to crab on a boat like this someday.

Nice! What kind of clips did u use to connect the rope to the hoop net? And does it ever interfere with the buoy?

Thank you for watching, OutdoorEdition. The net flipped because we accidentally hit the plug for the crab puller, causing it to shut off. I believe the line slacked and caused the net to flip. It was a great mistake, now we know what happens in that situation. I appreciate the great question
