I hope they do right and make it a sub version of the frontier how it always was and have the same powertrain and transmission as the frontier as well, and have it around the same price as the frontier also. Then hopefully they do it even better and offer a manual transmission as well.

100/% right, a refresh is been needed so in the last couple of years, Honda has been killing the elegance of the entire line of Honda vehicles, including the cr-v, pilot, accord, civic, etc. Making them look like very cheap, that's the case of the cr-v and the pilot, the front side look like garbage with that big cheap black plastic grill (just to reduce cost) more over on the cr-v the whole body has been killed. Look miserable. The competition like Nissan Rouge every year they give the rouge more elegance and right now rouge look much better than the cr-v, especially the front side. (How the front side look is important, is the face of whatever car).

I would stand in line to be one of the first to by it. Wake up Toyota USA,

They need to make a regular cab that has a longer bed. Also, a manual transmission.

I could live with the exterior. But interior is a definite no. No physical buttons and analog gauges equals no buy for me. The ONLY thing Mazda needs to change is to improve cargo and rear seat room. Could have sold thousands more units over the years if they addressed this one issue.
