Oh yay, new markers are so exciting! For this video I just sorted them by visual colour of the cap. It was so much more satisfying just to have them in order. I have them in a shelf now that I made from craft/popsicle sticks and have them sorted in the same order as the swatch chart I did so they are easy to find. Happy colouring!

@@minna_mc she doesn't and i got the chart, i found a post by her on discord and she only did the honolulu colors, so figuring out every color that's not a dupe 😖

I know there is a conversion chart for the Honolulu colours to Oahu, have you got that one? I'm not sure if I've seen the other charts before on reddit? Or facebook. I'll have a look.

@@minna_mc i don't, i have a spreadsheet i got from reddit that is supposed to be both but the dude has bettercup and buttercup in one, but i have a butter and better, but my butter is a brownish then my bettercup, i got the 36 Skin-Tone, 48 Pastel - sweetness /when i bought it, it wasn't called sweetness, 200 Colors 2021 the 200 was only numbers at the time and a 60 Colors 2020, i'm thinking of just buying both 230 sets but i wanted to make sure there was no dupes then i'd just have to find the other colors honolulu has to get all 363, i already found the japan only set and my husband said he'd buy it for me

It's such a confusing colour system isn't it, but they are so much more affordable than other bush markers especially! Did you get the old skintone set? There's one marker Green Bice that was only released with the first skintone set. I'm happy to have almost all of them, my friend went to Japan recently but I couldn't justify more markers. 😬

They do come with swatch cards, I showed them at the start of the video. I find it's always best to swatch on the paper you are going to use them on as the colours can look different on different paper types.

@WindyDaze Thank you! I really value your appreciation. I usually love swatching but it was definitely a slog, especially to film and worry about that as well. I love Ohuhu too. And now they have refills too!

Haha, you're welcome! I was kicking myself when I realised I forgot to keep the number uncoloured, and it was irking me to leave only some uncoloured. If I had the time and motivation to do it again I'd probably put a little box around the number so I didn't colour it in.

Ah that sounds great, I love the idea of recycling the cereal boxes! The bags are good but it do like to have the colours grouped in smaller sections.

Yes it is still going strong 2 years later! I have only had to reglue two sticks back on in that time. Now my daughter uses it for her markers, and I have plans for a new storage to hold all my markers.

That's very kind of you to say! I'm working on drawing and posting more regularly, so hopefully you are right.

I'm just waiting for refills 😄 The newer sets and colours seem to be better matches to the cap than the originals, especially once the ink dries down, and tbh I've had some copic colours that didn't come out as I expected from the cap colour too. I think for their price point Ohuhu has done really well, they take on feedback from their customers so let them know if you haven't already 😊

@@minna_mc The 160 set of water based markers is package ridiculously. Markers should be in a binder with a zipper, like my colour pencil sets. It wouldn't have cost them anymore. They could still put the name Ohuhu on it and the handle. Instead they have it stretch out like an accordion. Instead of people being able to flip pages back and fourth they can't see the markers on the other side unless they turn the thing over. Plus the put pictures up that are misleading to the customer.

I've only used the alcohol markers so wouldn't know.... you should contact them and let them know your frustrations, they may be able to re design in the future.

This was only my second video ever that I recorded, using a home made holder for my phone too, it is a learning process to get the right angles! The parts that maybe aren't so clear are either when I'm putting downward pressure and holding everything together to make sure the glue can set, or using the blade to score the paddle pop sticks to get them to break neatly. If you can give me a timestamp I can let you know what you might have missed...

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting 😊, I don't have the grey tone set, that's why there are a couple of markers missing on my swatch as they are exclusive to that set. I do have all of the first pastel set though ("blossoming" is what I think they named it when the second pastel set "sweetness" was released). There are lots of people that have swatched that set though. I'll see if I can link for you.

There’s only 1 grey tone not in the 320 set and it’s YG100…so I didn’t buy the set. There are a lot of new colours in the 36 skin tones that are new(I think 20) which is just over half. There are also 19 unique colours in the Japanese exclusive set. I’m in the middle of sorting all the sets I have out atm…😅😂❤

Ah yes, that must be the missing ones, it's so confusing trying to sort out the overlaps between the sets! Do you have the Japanese set? I'd love to see the unique colours in that one, I can't really justify trying to get it as I haven't even had much time to use the markers I have 😅

TBH its ALOT of markers. You could def get away with a smaller set but it is nice to have such a big choice. I like that there are some really light colours, which is what seems to be lacking in some of the smaller sets. Will see if I can do a video with a comparison with the 217 set I bought for my son for christmas.
