I've been there, I was on a few days break to London a year ago, one of those days I visited Richmond, KUT, both royal parks there, Hampton, Hampton Wick, East Molesey and Thames Ditton. What a lovely area, plus when crossing the bridge into East Molesey and Thames Ditton, it was my first time I set foot in Surrey. The whole area is lovely. Love the pub in Thames Ditton called Ye Olde Swan. When I next go to London I'll defintely be back

Yup, that's Maidenhead in a nutshell. Empty buildings for decades. Overpriced spaces, extortionate rents and rates for both businesses and people.

Windsor used to be busier but majority of the decent shops have gone to Bracknell and it's now full of cafes. I say this as someone who lives nearby and have done since the early 90s. The only thing I would go there for would be Daniel now.

I am 80 years old, have lived in Clapham,Croydon, Paris, now in Spain, but grew up in Balham! Loved all 3 cinemas , the Wimpy bar, the Centre club, the Bedford pub, Watkins music shop , the fish & chip shop at the bottom of Balham hill ,the list goes on. A great place to grow up in the 50’s & 60’s !

Thank you for this video, which was very interesting to watch. When I was a lad and lived with my parents (now deceased) I lived in Woking from 1966 to 1976. My first job was at a Solicitor's Office (long since gone) opposite the Railway Station, before moving to the TSB in Commercial Road. After a couple of years there I decided to try the Library Service, which was initially in a disused chapel in (appropriately named Chapel Street - also long since gone, I think) and later I joined the Library Service, working for Woking Library for five years. During that time, the Library moved into a vast new building that was far too big for it, situated in the Town Centre and opened by Princess Margaret. A few years later it was moved to a smaller building, where it remains to this day. Also, I was confirmed at Christ Church in the Town Centre in 1968. Another of my memories of Woking was of spending many happy hours train spotting on Woking Station! Anyway, enough about my past! 🙂
