When you said that the smooth shiny area on the spindles was where the bearings spin on you are mistaken. the Bearings just sit on that area and they spin on the inner races.

Since the line wasn't passing fluid before this repair, does that mean you didn't have brakes on that side, thus explaining the pull you described?

Was able to delete my rwal dump valve at no cost. Easy peazy . FYI, I have a late 94 silverado 2wd and the fittings were the same size thread. No adapter was needed. Although the nut sizes were different. The rear brake line threaded into the proportional valve without issue. As far as bending the brake line , i didnt really bend it, just kinda pulled it over to line up and carefully started by hand. Something worth mentioning, if you just unplug the dump valve but leave the abs computer plugged in, you will get a brake light on dash. Same brake light as parking brake. But if you unplug the abs computer also and remove it from the vehicle, the brake light will not be on, but will still work for parking brake and also proportional valve tripping. So just delete the whole thing. Thank you for the video !!!!

Update- Did some research and come to find out from an old post "2012" That the Engine ECU relay located inside the IPDM which is located behind the battery was the Culprit of my symptoms and not by BCM. So to test it, Just swap out your ECM relay for your Fog Light Relay and if the symptoms go away, its your Engine ECU Relay, which were known to fail and had Recalls on some infiniti's. Don't forget to buy a relay relay for the foglight you swapped out as it is the culprit. I plan on updated all those Black 4 prong relays since my car is 21 years old, just to be on the safe side. Swapping out your relays is a much easier task then getting your BCM flashed like i did. Hope this helps others. Mine does this also, "Bucks" then lights flicker, gauges stop working, Awd sometimes comes on, I was told it was my BCM, Got a used BCM, re-flashed/Programmed and car still does the same thing, dash lights flicker on and off, Transmission Bucks like a horse and takes long to change. My 03 FX only has 77k on it as of today I replaced the Valve Cover & Gaskets OEM do to a oil sweat and smell, as well as age of vehicle where those plastic Covers and gaskets dry up. I'm going to check if maybe this is the issue "Cracked Intake Hose" Since the BCM was replaced and that didn't fix crap 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the tip.

But how did you remove the c clamp that holds the lock in place? I tried a flat head screw driver and it just slips off 😅
@losmerosvera3 ай бұрын
@@amymiller8695 You might need some leverage on it in order to push it out. Either try a bigger flat head or perhaps try grabbing the lip of it with a pair of pliers and wiggle it back and forth. Worse case scenario and it’s rusty, you’d definitely might have to pull it out any means necessary.

the nut on the line to the brakes was smaller than the hole in the proportion valve. the line that gets deleted, has the correct fitting, so I cut the line and took that fitting. removed the flare on the line to the rear brakes, and put on the larger diameter fitting and used a flaring tool to re flare the line and re connected. tools needed pipe cutter and flaring tool . all fixed, no parts bought, ABS GONE.

So this is what I'm finding out about POA 80. It's all a mystery. (Try searching the DMV website for POA80 and POA 80. All you get is "Power of Attorney." ) I got this code, paid $600 to have the 'battery rebuilt' still have this code. Can't pass the smog test. Doing a Google I'm finding, "Oh you have to drive it for 100 miles, no 200 miles, no at least 1500 miles... You can't have AC or Cruise Control during those miles or they don't count.... Oh only engine miles count, nothing you do EV only.... No, it's 15 starts, warm up, cool down cycles.... there's no clear answer This is nonsense. What really annoys me is my Prius V runs fine, gets the same gas mileage it has always gotten, before the code, before the repair and after the repair. From the video I did learn that it probably didn't take the battery shop a maximum of 3 hours to take apart the battery, test it, replace the bad cell, reassemble it and call me.

Thanks for your helpful video. Im located downunder in Australia, I bought my 1993 GMC Vandura conversion van from my friends Jon and Mandy down at Escondido. I then toured the west coast for a month then later shipped the van home. Its my favourite vehicle and now its losing water from the top of its radiator core. Thanks to you I have an idea what to expect, my problem will be trying to source the correct radiator. I suppose I'll dive right into the job and see what will work. Funny, I was just watching your brake video again and before all of my parts get in I developed a radiator issue in my '95 G20. Oil cooler inside the radiator ruptured and is mixing oil & coolant in the radiator. Picked up a new water pump and thermostat and a new radiator and hoses are coming in the morning with new oil cooler hoses but I am flushing the system first to get it clean. The fan shroud part was funny. My shroud was in two pieces, broken just to the right of the filler. Now I know why, someone did that to get it out 😂.I was able to twist mine and squeeze it out from the left side by force. I had a '94 G20 10 years ago. I miss that van but I did not miss that damn AC line over the shroud. My '89 G20 was so much better. The compressor is on the passenger side with no AC line in the way. Made engine work a breeze. I have no idea why they moved the AC compressor over to the driver side on these vans in the 90's . Such a PITA.
@losmerosvera7 ай бұрын
Yea that AC line is a real eye sore for sure! Glad the video helped to give some insight at the least. 👍
