I love watching your videos. So much so, that we are going to build one. My husband is a carpenter and I'm an artist so we should be able to manage this. It's hard to find info like dimensions though. Like how tall is the doorway? The wall height, ceiling height with or with out a Molly Croft. Can you help me. I'm going to spend the winter gathering materials and maybe get some of the carving done. Do some of the painting and gold leaf on those parts before they actually have a wagon to be put on. Really enjoy your videos Reuben. That brings back memories, spent 3 weeks with my Great Aunt and cousins in very early 60s down in Essex. They were the last of our family to settle, show folk and cousins were horsemen/traders.. some were on the canals around London, and Birmingham. Their van was much like that one, but chassis setup was differant, trailing axle and front axle was on a turntable., whole unit was pulled by a Bedford QL, and Show stall on a matador. Question is: do they still make trailers with the turntable hitch?

Yes we have archived information on some of the materials that are supposedly used that he mentioned in those homes. The problem is a______s is very bad substance as we have been provided here in the states causing a host of health problems, and cost of removal because we can’t just bring those buildings down. They have to be removed by covering with a tent and a specific clothing has to be warn with great care taping around ankles, and wearing proper footwear and filtered masks and skin covering to keep from getting contaminated, and more importantly to keep resources from becoming contaminated with the material that causes varied upper-respiratory problems, and materials have to be separated and cleaned while inside the tent before removing for safe disposal, and before other portions that are reusable are repurposed and recycled. We found out about this during our generations (around the 70s, 80s, and 90s) that they began moving people out of these houses, and removing them, and for whatever reasons, they gave many of us work to perform doing such things, some never knowing anything about proper standards for protecting theirselves before beginning work so unfortunately, a good many, plus those who also resided in the homes were lost, and had various health problems as a result. Thanks for your honesty, Reuben and sharing your story with us.
