That rod must have cost at least 200, actually around 300 because of prices these days that hurt my soul physically. This is why you be smart with your gear, don't beat your responsible and a little tip from a freshwater fishermen, I don't go ice fishing, but always make sure to strap your rod to the ground sometimes.

Another nice Video Sask! I was in that area for the full moon and it was really slow. I camped 3 days and only managed 4 walleye and one keeper burb. I'm heading up to Elbow to try for trout next week, hopefully things pick up as we get out of the January Blahs.
@SaskFisher2 күн бұрын
OH man that kinda sucks lol. At least yah got some though! For Elbow.... i've never really fished there... I see a lot of Trout get taking from there. Must be a good spot for them hey? How deep you guys find them there? I've never got a Trout on Dief yet lol. Thanks!

@@SaskFisher I like to be in less than 8 feet or less, near a steep brake or weed bed , they usually hug the shoreline . I use power bait suspended 18 inches off the bottom. There are a few in the sask landing area but there is something about the Elbow side that they like...Riverside & Hitchcock bay can be productive as well. Never caught one in Coteau bay but they are there.

I think it just more so depends on the fish.... Lots of time I cant use just hardbaits and they wont hit. Then gotta go back to bait. I just jig somewhat aggressively till I see them come...then slow it down...try not to scare them and hope they hit it! It's hard sometimes.....

Awesome video! Do you still have the Otter Pro Resort hub? What are your thoughts on the diesel heater heating a hub that size in Sask temps/wind?
@SaskFisher6 күн бұрын
Hey whats up? I do have it still. I used it only once last year with the heater...I cant remember the temp but it was decent. Since its a little bigger of a tent I think it would struggle a little bit more for sure....especially if its real cold outside and the heaters sitting outside. Would be a good idea to keep it inside I think. Maybe i'll try an do a video with it this year on a colder day. I'd have to test it 1 more time to give you a better idea! I dont wana give yah false intel haha. But I think it would still do ok.

Only thing I would suggest is putting a hose on the intake side and laying it at least a few feet away, but the further the better. All it will take is the wind blowing in the right direction for you to smell the exhaust coming in.
