Just found this and have a question. I want something I can stick In my motorcycle saddlebag that is Super small. The rod looks perfect. Can I put a different micro reel on it from daiwa, zero, etc. is the reel seat compatible with other spooning reels?

One thing I’ve noticed about the StormBreak II is that it’s constantly evolving. The doors on my rain fly and the tent itself are totally different than yours. At first I didn’t understand what you meant about water getting inside when you open the rain fly, UNTIL I saw you setting yours up at the end of the video. Yeh, NorthFace totally changed the design of the doors compared to what you have. I wish I could add a pic of mine to show you the changes made since you bought yours. The tent doors now store inside the corner pockets when open. The doors on the fly now have 2 zippers and neither go across the top like yours.

Great video! But I’m thinking that on a 70 degree day it might be too hot. I didn’t see any vents on the rain fly. Have you been in it when it’s warm with the fly on?

Does anyone have the issue with the outter zipper getting caught in the tent fabric. Is a nice tent but i find that to be frequent.

I have one of these since 2020 (the reel is a little diferent and smaller) and now it's the only rod that I use, it's so fun to fish with that man, always worked pretty well. Great vídeo!

Ive had a lot of bites on the yappa rat and the yappa bug. Yes, it needs to be squeezed to remove water every few casts and it does have a tendency to roll over but if you keep your rod tip down and use a moderate retrieve speed youll be surprised at how well it can be on days when the bites are many...

There are various things folks could nitpick about the setup, but I'd just stick to making sure the footprint doesn't go too far out from under the tent/fly. Any part of it that could be exposed to rain will then tent to catch that rain and funnel it under your floor.

Great little rods in a quick pinch. Perfect for backpacking/bike packing/ adv motorcycle camping. Just bring your own reel.

It fishes like a jitterbug and let me tell you, the jitterbug can catch BIG bass. Ohio State record bass over 13 pounds caught on a jitterbug. All you had to do was cast it out and retrieve it. It wobbles and gurgles.

Nice fish. Have fished that rivers once and it was great. Being someone who has had lessons for casting and also been on Guided Fly Fishing trips to the South Henry's Fork and also Green River in Idaho, I do see one thing about your casting. Only to better help your success in future fly fishing adventures, I would say to work on your casting by not casting side arm; but more in a straight line so it doesn't loop at the end. Also, make sure to mend your line so that it has a more natural drift to the fish. This also makes them see your fly first and not your fly line. Overall, loved the video and look forward for more content.

In the beginning of the video you mentioned that you've used the tent several times, but at the end of the video you said that it was the first time you were setting up the tent and you needed to figure some things out...so, which is it??? You probably really don't know ish about the tent.
