I'm on C4D25 and my symmetry doesn't work on the grab tool. I have xz and link symmetry selected. Has anyone seen this issue?
@lundskowdesign3 жыл бұрын
I haven't downloaded R25 yet, so I can't exactly say if it's a bug or not, but there are a few instances that it may not work. The first potential reason is that the object isn't completely symmetrical to begin with so it can't find the opposite side to put the symmetry point. Another reason is that your object axis is off. Hitting "L" to realign the axis might help. Also, the object might be too thin as well. If the brush size is too large, it may be reaching to the underside of the mesh as well. When the symmetry option is added, both sides compete to grab the surface and nothing happens. If you find the bug on several different meshes and none of these tips helped, you will probably want to submit a bug report to maxon.

There is an option in the bake texture tag that allows you to include reflection.

Hi Rick, working with R23 I'm not able to follow you the moment the weight is removed. Can you help me going again or is it a complete different work around?
@lundskowdesign4 жыл бұрын
I recently rigged something in R23 and didn't have any issues so something might not configured properly. What's the timecode in the video that you're having an issue with?

hey what should i do if when i move the head random parts are stuck not moving with the rest of the mesh??
@lundskowdesign4 жыл бұрын
That's difficult to say without seeing the project. My top two guesses would be eIther your joints aren't properly parented/nested with each other or something went wrong during the weighting process.

I'm using R21 and it doesn't display the colored weights on the mesh? Did they change in since 2018? Or maybe I did something wrong. I selected all the bones and then the mesh. There was no joints only box in my version, just adding a number to how many joins. Edit: never mind, had to make ALL the mesh editable.
@lundskowdesign4 жыл бұрын
I believe you have to have the weight manager open or the weight tag on the object selected (double click). The weight manager is the best option though. It's in the character menu near the top (I think it's a side menu)
