I really think cloaks need to come back in style. I don't know why they haven't. They are cool looking, easy to wear and comfortable for cool weather.

Does the water we mix the dye with have to be hot? If so how hot?
@Nick-kp4pz2 күн бұрын
ok so tried it and here the cons : 1. the water isn't that hot and doesn't remain hot over 30 mins. 2, the water volume is much higher than the 1-2 gallons that should be used and dilutes the color intensity. 3. when the spin cycle finishes i noticed spots on the cloth corresponding to the hole in the drum. I dont recomend the washing machine for this

Did you mean to say dissolve RIT powder in a few cups of water? Wouldn’t too much water dilute treatment?

This is probably a stupid question and I doubt I'll get an answer but can any type of salt work??

You should have mentioned that the polyester tulle is highly flammable while the premium nylon tulle is inherently Flame Retardant. Polyester tulle is not suitable for display or costumes or anywhere a flame may be present.

Which marking pen is that and does it wash out?

This video was great, i just did my first cushion! Just a couple of things--my cushion used tons of staples and I don't think the tool u used would've worked. I ended up ordering a 3 pack of different upholstery staple removers which worked great. Also, I found the 2 inches of cushion wasn't enough with the plywood base I had, so I ended up doubling it which made it soft enough for me.

This was quite possibly the worst tutorial I have found. After struggling to make the valances I gave up when it came to the installation instructions and am having to do something else. A waste of time and fabric!

Really appreciate this tutorial - just made my cushion cover and it looks great! The only thing I would change is not using 3/4 of the width of both flaps at the back - found it really tricky to get my cushion form in… next time I will go with a slightly smaller overlap 👍

Hi Jen. Thank you so much for sharing this... If I'm making a towel, if I understand your video correctly, I "HAVE TO" double the fabric i.e. 1 (one) layer won't work?
