It's probably due to how fresh this style of game felt. It was the most realistic Cod we've ever seen. Nowadays, it's completely reused for every game.

Unbelievable game!! I’ve been playing only multiplayer since this. Went back to this after years of just sitting there. Can’t believe this campaign. Bought mw2 and that was incredible too. I’m scared to play mw3 because everyone said it’s horrible.
