It’s brahman, not brahma. And they aren’t aggressive cattle at all!
@krisrhodes1308Күн бұрын
My personal opinion operating both for years is when you get a pull behind you will never go back to a 3point hitch style once you’ve learned the turning radius difference in the corners. I have recommended these to several people and they all say that they wouldn’t go back either. Of brands that I have ran (Kuhn and Vermeer) definitely prefer the Vermeer and I am a Kuhn fan but I don’t like the hitch on a Kuhn especially if you have to move it with a truck

They layup and rest ahead of the rain. Them cows know when its coming, so I assume you got it.

Got less than 0.1”. Then, had kinda some scattered stuff pop up Friday night, but that also resulted in basically nothing on our pastures. Frustrating.

My experience is that a pull type is great for big wide open fields. For smaller fields, you would miss the maneuverability of the 3 point

Yeah, that does worry me a bit. We definitely have some tiny patches.

Why don’t you band them?
@HurricaneCreekFarms3 күн бұрын
We prefer cutting when they are small enough (generally <400 lbs). They are much quicker to return to normal activities, grazing, etc. Banded bulls are a little lethargic for a few days. These cut bulls show virtually no signs of discomfort within just a few minutes. If you watch some of our videos where we are processing our newly purchased cattle, we do band most of those bulls because they are closer to 600 lbs.

You need to find yourself a logger to come through your property and harvest timber, Make make a few $$ for the property taxes.
@HurricaneCreekFarms8 күн бұрын
We’ve explored that a little. It’s just not enough money to justify the mess right now. Definitely a good idea, but they’re gonna tax you on that income, of course!

Who runs your drone while you drive the tractor?
@HurricaneCreekFarms10 күн бұрын
It’s all me for the most part (it was in this video). I could definitely get some better footage if I had someone else running one of them. The drones are pretty neat in terms of using them to automatically track the truck or tractor, but most of the time I get it up and set, then set it aside to hold its position while I run the equipment.
