Pls as Bob from Hamil about the industry/manufacturing that Hamil does work for.... ie I think they did work for CanEng. Explain why a company well versed in the metal trades is important for the region. Also, in his view, is the future of manufacturing/industry in the Region...plus what can the city/Region do improve ways of supporting and attracting more manufacturing etc. to the region. How can a young person prepare themselves fir a future in the trades

Hey guys. Another tough trivia this week. I didn't even attemp it this week but my better half did. She said Gordie Howe and also said 120 goals. When you gave the answer, I looked at her and said WTF? She's a hockey nut like me (Senators unfortunately) but she's not that knowledgeable. I said how did you get that? She said I googled it. CHEATER I yelled back! LOL She had secretly googled it on her phone while my back was turned. Carry on Gentlemen!

From my experience working at the city, there's different strokes for different folks. The article featured James Dowling, CPA. He is a great employee and deserves every opportunity, but he's also non-union. It's a different experience for the lowly union worker on the front lines. If the city acted more equitably to its employees and stopped the nepotism, it would be a better place to work.

Let's have a discussion on the need for governance reform here in Niagara. 126 politicians vs 16 in Hamilton but more concerning is the duplication in the administration pf government services costing local taxpayers millions more than it should.
@paullemire49738 күн бұрын
That is a big problem. Duplication of services and way too many politicians cost taxpayers a lot of money - that's why Ford is looking for amalgamation.

RHP has been playing in Laval for a while now and doing well with them. He's on the last year of his contract so not sure if he gets resigned. Too many better prospects in the pipeline so I think he's gone after this year unless he gets resigned to two way contract and he plays in Laval next year. Our other injured player, Reinbacher, who had a knee operation back in exhibition games time frame, has started skating again at the Habs practise facility in Brossard. He might get some games in ealry March in Laval if he doesn't have a setback. Go Habs Go??? Habsolutely.

Regarding MAT, why is the city keeping only a small administration fee? If it’s within their right to keep a larger share, why aren’t they? Take the maximum amount allowed by law. Crank the MAT to 4% of room cost (that’s what every other municipality sets it at) too. Can you imagine how much revenue that would bring in???? There’s a million things the city is allowed to spend MAT revenue on. BAM, no more property tax increases.
