Having grown up there it is sad to see what it has become. holiday homes kicked out most people who grew up there as there is no way they can afford it. Should have had a law put in place to stop it. Too late. The place is infested and I am glad I left it long ago now.

Did you manage to get insured? If you use zego they link with your uber, it monitors your driving and is really cheap I got mine for 1600, don't think it's good at monitoring either as I've never had no comebacks

And keep up the cost of living for a family to work as Uber where you could make much more depending your discipline? Oh yeah, I would leave…. Its all relevant to your geographic location - if you live in Birmingham, Uber is well worth your time relevant to a house costing 50k... London, houses are around 550k minimum, rent prices are in the 1.5- 2.5k region, then theres the cost of living. Im a London Uber driver and out of all the jobs ive done, Uber is a good earner providing you put in the hours (alot of hours) but could be seen as not worth it in relation to the cost of living here... alot of moaning drivers that wanna do 2 hours a day making 700 a week😂 The flexibility is worth its weight in gold.

Drivers where better off 5 years ago than they are now driving with Uber, Uber changed the price structure meaning they now charge more and pay drivers less, so I think drivers have a valid point, No driver on the planet expects to work 2 hours a day and earn £700 per week so I cant say I agree with that or maybe its just a bad joke. The issue is Uber are failing driving by not keeping up with inflation and the cost of living. More than 35% of drivers have left Uber so clearly there's an issue.

@@MrDollard I'm not disagreeing that drivers earned more 5 years ago. My comment on 2 hours driving for £700 per week was an exaggerated joke with weight to it, hence the laughing emoji - there are alot of drivers that expect to earn serious money matching degree level jobs working an un-skilled job such as driving for private hire. You can still earn good money if you put the hours in and drive strategically. Uber as a company guarantee drivers earn the NLW whilst working, which acts as a good security cover for any driver, not that anyone would want to earn as little as this but the security is there. Uber offer a pension scheme and contribute 3% of weekly earnings, along with drivers adding their 3% share Uber also gives a 12.07% holiday pay paid weekly based on previous weeks earnings, i really fail to see why you slate the company so bad especially when you worked for uber in recent times, in a Tesla. The price structure can be debated - I have done over 3000 jobs on uber and every job i do pays well over £1 per mile, averaging at £1.95 PM with an average of 1-2 mile pick up distance, the holiday pay covers the unpaid mileage to some degree, but its still in a net positive even after expenses. Your channel objective comes across to put off new drivers for cynical reasons imo, if i was in my 20's again doing uber in the current climate i'd be laughing.

Yes I use Acorn insurance who then use Haven Insurance but remember it really depends on your age and how many no claims you have, For example is pay £1200 for my Tesla and I have 9 years no claim.
