The original back up camera for the golf is in the VW logo as well, take a look at it, I believe it’s not that difficult to install it

There is so much nanny-crap in my '24 WRX that I've already sworn off EVER owning another. When spring comes and the weather warms up I may do this mod, but it's cold now and I don't want to risk breaking anything.

the ultimate Mk7 config, in my opinion, is the Alltrack and Sportwagen models with the 4motion AWD. same exact AWD setup as the Golf R. They have the same 1.8t as your car with either a manual or DSG (dual clutch). The wagon body is super practical and has tons of space. I've got an AWD Sportwagen with a stage 1 tune, Bilstein suspension, GTI brakes and big Apex wheels. Itll definitely smoke a stock WRX. Awesome cars. Keep an eye out for water pump leaks, carbon buildup on the intake valves, and misfires. those are the biggest issues. the forums for these cars are really good. enjoy!

Funny random video to hit my feed, I had a 2016 TSI S that i loved right up until a tree fell on it two years ago. Insane tuning potential with these, anything that bolts to the block of the GTI/R can be put on a TSI. You can get GTI turbos for cheap, Golf R turbos for more, and hybrid turbos if you're insane. The 5-spd is the weak link on power, but 6-spd transmissions are a dime a dozen at the junkyards, bolt right up, and can handle crazy amounts of power. Get a good rear swaybar and refresh the engine/transmission mounts if they are the originals. The powerflex hybrid dogbone insert is a godsend once you start pushing more power to the ground.

Looks like no more cheap shifters. I managed to snag mine for $61. And the cheapest clone now is a 1320 Performance one for $130. Basically a Torque Solutions on sale.

I was on the asphalt for about 30 minutes, swinging a hammer into a 1/2 extension with the punch in the socket hole. I could only lift my car a 18 inches, so I was throwing little baby swings using mostly my wrist. If only I had thought to just remove the car from the transmission and free up some room, I might have saved time.

Base model, premium model just negotiate a STI Short Throw Shifter and be done with that. The STI Shifter is good.

Got my Solterra two months ago and was so disappointed on the charging time. 2 DAYS and 4 HOURS charged time from 5% to 100%. Thats quite a long time. No rear windshield wiper w/c makes visibility zero during rainy days.. I dread the coming of winter in Chicago where I am from. My dealer suggested not to use it on long distance trips because of the charging time .Should have leased a TESLA instead.😪😪😪

you should always using oil recomended by the automaker ,,, it is not only about temparatures is also about other parts of the car how well they handle the oil ,, the car was extencively tested for that oil You thing you are smarter than all that engeneers behind the engine manufacturing ????
